Volcanoes erupt when Magma (hot 

rock), is pushed up out of a 

Volcano causing an eruption.When 

Magma is out of the Volcano ,it 

is called 'Lava'.

TSUNAMIS

Tsunamis are also known as:

A Harbour wave or A seismic 

sea wave

EARTHQUAKES

Earthquakes are caused by 

fault lines, for example , 

the San Andreas fault 

line.

Floods are caused when it 

rains heavily.Floods that 

occur quickly are called  

'Flash Floods'.

A Hurricane is a tropical cyclone ,occurring in the 

North Atlantic Ocean or the Northeast/North-central 

Pacific Ocean, East of the International Dateline.

Most strong storms lose their strength very rapidly 

after landfall and become disorganized areas with low 

pressure within a day or two or evolve into 

extratropical cyclones.  

DROUGHTS

Droughts make tiny cracks in the ground and 

can affect a neighbourhood very badly.
