NEW YEAR'S DAY

It's the first day of a brand new year

Did we finish another year?

I whisper in my brother's ear

People do different things all over the world

Some things are just unheard

On New Year's Eve we all count down the time

And wait till the clock does the midnight chime

You are so happy you just might forget,

That it is the midnight and you need to go to bed

You take a year's memories in your head

Its been a great year so to say,

But let's start with new dreams as tomorrow is the New Year's Day!

                              VALENTINE'S DAY

This is the day we celebrate love

Above and beyond for everyone

There are red and pink hearts everywhere we go

We see lots of candy, flowers and so much more

We all love to celebrate Valentine's Day

With our friends in every way

We make little gifts to hand around

Kids are making happy sounds

We share our gifts and show our love

We really don't want the day to be done

I wish everyone feels the love all around

On this happy and beautiful Valentine's Day!

                             ST. PATRICK'S DAY

This day is celebrated in March

We dance, drink and feast on traditional food

Irish corned beef and cabbage,

You can eat potatoes, if in the mood.

The beautiful parades, dancing and music

Dressing up and color everything in green

Sprinkle gold glitter in the hallways

No one minds what's left to clean

So many fun things all around

Try to find the three-leaf shamrock

Three leaves stands for faith, hope and love

To find the four-leaves, go around the block

We can't forget the silly little leprechaun

If you catch one he will bring you luck they say

Oh what fun,

Let's all celebrate St.Patrick's Day!

                                          EASTER

We celebrate this important day

It falls on a Sunday

We all get to have lots of fun

Coloring eggs, hiding eggs, the fun has just begun

Easter is a very special day

It falls in April, the month before May

We cannot forget the Easter Bunny

Its front two teeth always looks so funny

Oh look, we can see candy and sweet treats everywhere

We hear our mom say we've got to share

Remembering that sharing and love will make this day brighter,

Let's celebrate this wonderful Easter.

                              MOTHER'S DAY

This is the day when we appreciate someone, no one like any other

She loves us, helps us, and does all the work for us, that's our mother.

We love her for her kindness and her big heart

We go places together, sometimes even in a shopping cart

She cares for us from the day we are born until we are all grown up,

And mind you she never fails to listen or to show up

We may have one day to celebrate our mom for keeping us healthy

But she helps us everyday even when we are grown up and wealthy

We can give her a gift on this day to celebrate her

But what matters is the love and care we have for her

This day is so special for all our mom's and it's in May

Don't forget to thank her with all your heart on this Mother's Day.

                              FATHER'S DAY

This is the day we celebrate our father

We love him a lot

I feel he is rarer than the rarest flower in a pot

He is kind and very special to us

He is extraordinary and so much fun

He is brave and strong

Makes us laugh all day long

In summer he loves to mow the lawn

When ever we play chess, he first moves the pawn

He loves to travel the world on vacations

Trying different foods is his reputation

Thank you dad for all you do

So I will stand up and say

I can't wait to celebrate him on this Father's Day!

                       THE FOURTH OF JULY

It is the 4th of July, so wave your flags up high

Everyone is staying at the park,

To see the fireworks in the dark

This was the day the declaration was signed,

I wonder what was on everyone's mind

When Mr.Thomas Jefferson made the declaration,

He changed a lot for the next generation

On this day he put our great nation on the map

I don't think anyone could complain with that

Now you know the history of this day

Everyone should come out and say,

Hooray, Hooray! It's the 4th of July today!

                          BACK TO SCHOOL

It's the last month of summer

You might feel like its a bummer

But let us have some fun

And get ready for the next ten months

Ride your bikes,  play outside, and soak up the sun

Enjoy waking up late, for it's the last time you can

When you start school it is always good to have a plan

Wake up early, to study and to find a buddy

School is fun, but you know that already

Let us enjoy the last few days of the beautiful summer,

Then let us enjoy going back to school!!
