Dedicated to you, dear reader, for picking up this book. I hope you enjoy it!

Of course, the story started when Aila and Alan were born. Their blankets were blue for Alan and pink for Aila. Girl and boy, pink and blue. Perfectly expected. Perfectly stereotypical.

Now, the story really started when the twins were four and getting dressed. Aila said her favorite color was blue and Alan said his was pink.
It didn't help that their parents were the stubbornest mules you could imagine.
They told them that they were wrong and that their favorite colors should be switched immediately.

Switch!!
Stubborn Mule

Of course, this made the twins angry. Why have to change their favorite colors when they already had perfectly good ones? They tried to argue, but their parents wouldn't budge. They just had to comply.

Now, this very much could have been where the story ended, but you're reading this book and it's still going, right? So Aila and Alan decided that they would take part in a little something they called "revolution".

HIGH FIVE!
They told their favorite teacher (Ms. Teele) the color situation in intense detail. Now they thought the only thing left to do was hope that the situation would sort out when their parents went to the family meet-and greet.
Let's take a look at that interaction, shall we?

Ms. Teele spoke with their parents.
"How are Aila and Alan doing?" asked their mother. "Not good, I suppose..."
"Oh, they're wonderful!" Ms. Teele replied. "And they color everything, simply everything, in their favorite colors."
Slightly taken aback by the positivity, their father asked, "...Which are...?"
"Alan loves pink and Aila-"
"NO!" screamed the parents at the same time.
"I'm sorry. good ma'am, but there is more urgent business at the moment," rushed the father. And then they were off to their children across the room.
