Dedicated to all children who do not want to eat vegetables.

A little boy asked his grandmother,
The grandmother smiled and said,
“Alright, once upon a time, there was a boy who wished to grow tall, and here is his story!”
"Grandma, I wish you’d tell me a bedtime story!”
I wish broccoli weren’t green, - he thought.

“This boy wanted to be as tall as a skyscraper, but he hated vegetables.
So, he never ate them!”

One night, after another dinner without veggies, the boy started tossing and turning in bed. He couldn’t sleep a wink, and
by morning, he had already come down with a fever.

The doctor told him,
“You’d better eat your vegetables, better safe than sorry.”
“What a catastrophe!”
But the boy thought,

The boy had put off eating veggies for weeks. Suddenly, he began to feel even sicker.
“What’s in store for me?”
he wondered as he looked at his skin, which was turning green!
The next day, his parents rushed him to the hospital. The grandma explained,
We can’t take this storm lightly, we must get there soon.

When they arrived at the hospital, the doctor met them and exclaimed,

Breaking news! This boy needs vegetables urgently. Look at his green color! What’s in store for him if he doesn’t?

The boy felt regretful and said,

I wish I had eaten my broccoli. If only I had, I wouldn’t be in this situation!
The doctor gave him some medicine and said,

Now, you must eat all your vegetables to get well. You’ll be up and about in no time if you do.

From that day on, he never rejected his vegetables, and gradually, he grew taller than he had ever dreamed.

The grandmother smiled and told him,

So, for the time being, don’t put off eating your broccoli. You never know what’s in store for us!
