Chapter One

The Good-Bye

"Good-bye!" yelled Ava, as she walked out the door. "Where is she going?" Whispered Bailee. "I don't know," answered Yondu "but she's leaving us for a while." "How do you know?" Bailee asked. "Well," said Yondu "she has a lot of bags full of clothes and stuff". " That makes sense," answered Bailee, and then they went to eat dinner.  But before they ate, they prayed.

The next morning Bailee woke up to a surprise! Yondu had broken out of her cage and gotten into the chip bag. "What are you doing?" asked Bailee. "Well, I was trying to escape when I realized that Ava didn't lock my door, so I just pushed on it and it opened!" Bailee looked surprised when she mumbled to herself "Well isn't that wonderful".  Yondu knew that Bailee was being sarcastic, but she kept her hopes up and said, "I know, right!?". Meanwhile, Bailee went to take a nap, because it was getting dark outside. Yondu went to bed as well.

Chapter Two

The Next Morning

It was morning outside when Yondu woke up to a loud racket. It was Bailee, she had the Zoomies. Yondu thought to herself "Do I make that much noise when I'm playing?" Then she went to eat breakfast. While she was eating, she was thinking "This will be a short day". She continued to eat until she was full.

Chapter Three

Sadness

Bailee and Yondu were sad. They missed Ava and they wanted some attention. They realized that they could be friends and give each other attention! They didn't know it yet, but they were going to be best friends and do everything together! Just then they heard a car door open and close. "What was that?" asked Bailee. "I think it was a car door," said Yondu. They were worried because their owner wouldn't have been home

this early. Would she? They were really scared, but it turned out that it was just the neighbor's car door. That was a relief to know that. They rested happily, now that they knew that they were safe. 

Chapter Four

Hungry

Bailee woke up very hungry. She went to her food bowl, but there was no food in there. She was getting hungry and she was getting very impatient. She realized she had to find more food. She asked Yondu for help, and she said yes! They were looking for food when Yondu found a bag of Doritos. Yondu thought to herself "Bailee and I like this." so she grabbed it and they 

snacked on it until they couldn't eat anymore. Then Bailee says " I love you, Yondu". Yondu says back "I love you too, Bailee". Then they took a nap. While in the middle of dreaming, Bailee woke up, she went and got a Bible out of Ava's stuff, woke Yondu up, and read – Proverbs 12:10 – “The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.” and Isaiah 11:6 – “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.”

These were some of Bailee and Yondu's favorite verses. After they read they felt very happy and they went outside to play. Bailee was scared that Yondu would fly away, but she didn't. They played for 2 hours. It was getting dark outside, so they went inside and ate some more chips for dinner. While they were eating, Bailee told Yondu "We're all dirty, let's go take a bath." Yondu replied "OK, we are a bit stinky." then they went to take a bath.

Chapter Five

Bath Time

Bailee and Yondu were taking a bath. Yondu got stuck in a soap bubble. She was floating around and Bailee couldn't get her down. Yondu screamed "HELP! HELP!" then Bailee screamed, " I'M TRYING!" then when the Yondu bubble was at the very top of the ceiling, it popped and Yondu fell into the bath. Yondu and Bailee agreed not to ever take a bath without their owner.

Chapter Six

Waiting

Bailee and Yondu stood at the door, waiting for Ava to get back. Just then Yondu had this terrible thought. Yondu said, "Bailee, do you think she's ever coming back?" Bailee replied "Of course she is, she took all of those bags with her. If she was going to leave us forever, she would have taken everything with her." "Oh, Yeah," said Yondu "I guess you're right. You always make me feel better. Thank you!" then they both fell asleep.

Chapter Eight

Suddenly

Bailee woke up to a surprise! She had to go to the bathroom outside. It was dark and scary outside! Could she get Yondu to go with her? Bailee whispered, "Ptsss, Yondu, can you come outside with me?" Then Yondu whispered, "Uhhh... OK." Then they went outside. When they came back, they lay down to go to sleep, but they couldn't fall asleep. She went outside again, by herself, and started to howl at the

moon. She was crying because she missed Ava. She wanted Ava to come home. "This week has been really long." thought Bailee. She went back inside and cried herself to sleep.

Chapter Nine

Hide-and-Seek

"I'm bored," said Yondu. "Let's play a game!" "OK, But what would we play?" said Bailee. "Umm... What about Hide-and-Seek!" said Yondu. "Yes, that's a great idea!" replied Bailee. "Who should hide first?" asked Bailee. "Umm... I think you can hide first!" said Yondu. "OK!" said Bailee. Yondu started to count, "1, 2, 3....." "Where to hide?" Bailee thought to herself.  "Oh! I should hide under the chair, she'll never find me there!" "20! READY OR NOT HERE I COME!" yelled Yondu. Bailee was nervous.

Would she find her? Bailee heard Yondu's fluttering coming closer! "Hmm.." said Yondu. All of a sudden, Bailee sneezed! Now Yondu knew where she was at! "Uh-oh!" Bailee whispered to herself. Yondu was right in front of the chair! "And... GOTCHA!" yelled Yondu. She had found Bailee. "My turn!" said Yondu. "1, 2, 3...." said Bailee. "I think I should hide behind the TV!" Yondu thought to herself. She went behind the TV. "20! READY OR NOT HERE I COME!" shouted Bailee. Yondu tried not to move. Yondu could hear Bailee's footsteps. "I wonder where she's at?" said Bailee. She knew
