Today we will be describing what life is like in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. 

In Rome many families live together in a big home and rich families have servants that help

In Greece our families are close and woman take care of the homes while men work

In Rome boys learn reading, writing, and skills for war, while girls take care of home and learn from their mothers

In Greece we go to school to learn math, philosophy, and music. We love asking big questions and learning lots 

In Rome we wear togas for important events and Roman woman love to wear lots of jewelry 

In Greece we wear light chiton tunics because of the warm weather

Romans love to try many different to eats a big variety of foods with exotics spices from far away lands

In Greece we eat fresh foods like grapes, olives, fish, and bread.

In Greece, women usually stay at home to weave, cook, and care for children.

Roman woman can visit markets and temple and some even own their own business

In Greece, we love theatre, where actors tell stories about gods and hero’s.

Romans cheer on gladiator and chariot the races in large areas.

WE BOTH WORSHIP MANY GODS! In Greece, we honor Athena, Apollo, and many more.

In Rome, Romans pray to Jupiter, Venus and Mars.

In Both Greece and Rome, some people were slaves and worked for others. They did jobs like cooking, cleaning, or helping in the fields, but they had no freedom

In Greek we travel by for or boats to explore nearby islands. 

In Rome, we have impressive rounds for chariots and horses, and many people travel to the city for trade.

In Greece, we celebrate the Olympic Games in honor of are gods.

In Rome, we have are own festival, like the Saturnalia, where everyone enjoys a giant feast and fun games.

In Rome, we build grand structures like the Coleum and aqueducts to bring water to the cities.  

Greeks are famous for their beautiful sculptures and building like the Parthenon
