It was 100 years ago, that all people in
the world had died or yet disappeared. That
day, lots of tears were shed, lots of people
were dead and many had just disappeared and
out of sight.
That was the day of the Dragon Civil War.
Dragons were never this mean. They had
loved people for years until one day the secret
had been spilled. Dragons were angered and
so they made a war, a war that killed almost
everyone.

No one from then on spoke about the
Dragon War or the lives that were lost that
day. Except for me.
I lost my family, except for my sister.
They had all died. Together we started a
journey that is quite dangerous for a 15 year
old and a 13 year old.
We have gone in search for the Dragons.
Of course were scared but we also have
the blood of the great warrior that protected
everyone from 10 Dragons. Our father.

Of course your asking how. I'll tell you.
Our world includes magic. Our whole family was
granted for magic except for us. My sister and
I.
You're supposed to find out what your
magic is when you turn 13, but for us we
haven't found them yet.
I looked behind me from the corner of my
eye to see what Maria - my sister - was doing.
As normal her long reddish hair was tied up into
a high ponytail moving side to side every time
she walked. Her blue ocean eyes were twinkling
in the sunset.

I slowed down to her pace and then
stopped. Of course she followed. I turned
around and faced her.
"You tired?" I asked. She slowly nodded
before answering.
"Yeah. My legs hurt and I'm sleepy plus
hungry." She said her voice soft and tired.
"Let's take a rest then!" I gave her a
smile. She nodded and hugged me.
"Your the best sister ever!" She said
smiling brightly. I gave her a soft smile and we
went out to find a place to rest.

I placed more wood into the fire to
make us feel warm. The sun had set and now
it had started raining.
I walked back to my spot and Maria
scooted closer to me and hugged me. Trying
to keep warm. I hugged her back and slowly
closed my eyes. In I went to the black void
they call sleep.
I woke to the whimpers of someone or
something. I fluttered my chocolate brown
eyes to see that Maria was whimpering.

"What's wrong?" I asked. I put my hand
on her shoulder.
"I saw mom and dad. Dying. Blood and
ev-" before she could continue I pulled her to a
hug.
"That was the past. This is the present.
We still have a future. Maybe it's brighter than
our past but we have to stay strong. No matter
what." I stopped to take a breath. "We will
face lots of things, but the most important
thing is staying together and believing that we
have to live to see something brighter. That's
what Grandpa Rob said."

I could feel her relax. Her tears were
slowly fading away. Her shoulders went back
to their place. A smile stretched on her rosy
face.
"You always cheer me up. Your the best
sister I could ever ask for." Her voice faded
and once again she had went to sleep.
I looked at her angelic face and softly
kissed her forehead. I laid my head on her
head and then hugged her, drifting once again
to sleep.
I fluttered my eyes open seeing the sun
heating my face. I turned around and

slowly got up. Maria's head was tilted to the
left touching the cave wall. Her mouth was in
the form of a smile. Her right hand went to the
left, while her left hand was clutching her skirt.
I softly shook her. Her eyes started to
adjust and look up at me. Her smile was
angelic looking.
"Morning!" She said. Her eyes were
sparkling. She started to get up. I straightened
myself.
"Well, it seems that the next town
isn't far from here. If we continue walking for
