It was the perfect day. The perfect life I had. The perfect 

boyfriend I have! My boyfriend Alex is such a good, 

handsome, gentle, nice, perfect boy! I am super, duper 

happy of what I have. However, sometimes I have fears 

that he’ll go away from me forever. It’s all because of his 

perfectness! My best friend Lisha always is envious of me  

because of Alex. She was looking for a perfect boy, I 

guess. Fortunately, she is a nice girl, so she is not jealous 

about my boyfriend.That’s a good thing. I usually get 

jealous when there is a girl next to Alex who sticks like 

chewing gum. So, I always stay next to him. He doesn’t 

care much I think... Alex, I can tell, he listens and follows 

every time! That’s really a good thing. Well, I live in 

California. Luckily, I’ve got a boyfriend! So, I have blue 

eyes, and light brown, curly hair.

“La, La ,La!” I sang while skipping around my bedroom. It made 

me dizzy, so I hopped into my bed until I got bounced off in the 

air with my hair flopping all over my face. I had my phone in my 

right hand, clothes in my left hand to check if it fit right, and my 

rollers in my hair to curl up nicely well done.

“Ring… Ring…” the bell rang and suddenly stopped. In a second, a 

voice came out from the phone, “Hello? Is that you, Elly?” It’s my 

perfect, forever boyfriend! I jumped out a bed and… “Crash! 

Bump!” I fell on the floor and my head was swollen! “Ouch...” It 

hurts! I rubbed my head and answered back when he asked,“Are 

you okay back there?”

 “I uh…   I’m okay! Perfectly fine! So…Um… Can we meet outside 

today? Can you?” I thought I was kind of desperate, and 

embarrassed. However, he always listens to me, so I’ll meet him 

outside for a whole day! Yes!

“I am sorry, I can’t go today. I have a meeting with someone…” 

Alex replied. What? What the…   He could never do this to me! My 

hands were shaking.

“Wha.. What? Well, it’s okay, fine… Then, see you next time!” I 

hung off the phone before Alex could reply. I felt weak. My face 

was crumpled like a paper. I can’t believe what happened! Oh, 

well, there are times people can’t do something they want to do 

because of an important thing they had...

I didn’t have a good mood so I called my best friend for a chat. 

She cooly accepted it and I went into the coffee shop for some 

drink with Lisha. After a while, Lisha came. I ordered mango 

smoothie and some frostings that made my brain work on. I sat 

down with 2 smoothies, and started to chat with her. I first 

aggressively, fastly talked,“Lisha! You should hear this story! It’s 

about my boyfriend, he…” When I try to spoke what went wrong 

this morning, she cut my words and annoyingly talked,” Ya, ya. 

Your boyfriend is handsome, nice, gentle… Blah, blah, blah!“ she 

flapped her hands like a talking dog. “Stop talking and talking 

about your boyfriend! It makes me more think about jealousy, 

you know! Let’s just chat about other things! Can’t we? Please?” 

she exclaimed angrily and put her hands to her hips.

     "Ya, ya. Your

      boyfriend is

handsome, nice, 

       gentle...Blah

          ..."

 “Well, this is a big news, not the ordinary news I had! Okay? 

Listen, My boyfriend today when I called him…” I told everything 

of what happened on the morning. Lisha changed her face a lot. 

She panicked, she growled, she did all the stuff I made on the 

morning like hers, when he disagreed with me! 

   Lisha panicked, “What? Alex said that? Wow! I never knew Alex 

would disagree~! Something definitely went wrong! However, I… 

Um.... Can’t help you... Sorry, Elly...” she mysteriously spoke.

“Wha… Why? Why can’t you?” I curiously but desperately asked.

“Um.. I .. have no time! Ha...Ha..” she laughed forcibly. I thought, 

Lisha always have plenty of time. Always.

“You always had time! I know your schedule! Everything! Don’t 

lie, Lisha!” I panicked. 

“I think… I should go. I have some stuff to do back in my home. 

Bye!” Lisha ran out.

 “Wai… Wait!” Lisha just ignored, but I made it she didn’t heard. 

Her acting was weird. She always smiles forcibly when she’s lies. 

I always knew because I was with her for more than the half year 

we lived. Something weird is happening… I definitely knew the 

feeling!

     Lisha ran down the street lonely. She had nobody next to her. 

She stopped when she knew Elly is not catching her. All of a 

sudden, she sprinted to the top. A drop of water fell from 

nowhere. It dropped on her shoulders. The heavy rain suddenly 

fell down to cover her tears. She murmured, “I think our 

friendship is over now… Starting today…” The rain fell for a long   

time to comfort her and made her wet. Her face, also got wet...

The weird, mysterious weekend was over. I was still confused, but 

changed my mind it’s okay, when Alex came to me like usual 

days. The day just went fly by. It was already Wednesday. On that 

day, I had the feeling that something will change me forever… I 

was out of the girl bathroom. As I walked out the door, I heard a 

familiar voice that I could tell. It was Alex’s voice! I walked in 

silently to surprise him, but then, I heard something shocking…

“Ha, ha, ha, ha! I think this plan works so easily! The friendship 

will broke apart in just a short amount of time! My owner will be 

happy for me! I’ll get money from her! Also, on to Elly, I’ll just 

trash her like a garbage. She shouldn't had played jokes about my 

owner~ Poor girl. My owner will revenge 10 times more!” He 

spoke like a devil. “Elly and Lisha are the perfect toys! 

Ha,ha,ha,ha!” another boy evilly talked, “Ya? Then we will get gold 

in no time!” I couldn’t hear anything at that moment… No! It 

couldn’t be! He can’t do this to me! I was surprised… Panicked… 

Frustrated… Shocked! All feeling mixed up together in my head. I 

could barely stand on my leg. My knees went down. My eyes were 

first and the last went black. Nothing in my eyes.

     “Lisha! Listen to me! I’ve got to tell this! Please!” I begged 

her desperately in the hall of the school. However, for some 

reason, she didn’t listen to me! The kind girl in my mind has 

gone! 

      “I have nothing to talk with you. I’m sorry. Our friendship is 

OVER. Bye, Elly.” Lisha just walked the opposite of me. I became 

more shocked my eyes were dark. I didn’t know how friendship 

was important. For the pain, for the first time, I realized that 

friendship is ever important. I murmured that I’m okay… I’m 

okay… Everything will be fine soon. It’ll be fine... However, there 

were no time to be shocked of this. I had work to do! I turned 

back as fast as I can, and moving my leg sprinting to Lisha. Lisha 

was walking fast. Her back looked sad. It made my heart in pain 

again, but my words would make her better. Happy again. I 

thought as I was getting closer to Lisha.

       “Tup!” I finally catched Lisha shoulders.

       “Lisha! You have to listen to me! Our friendship is never over! 

We promised, didn’t we? If you still don’t want to be with me, I’ll 

tell you one thing and it’s over. Alex is planning to break up our 

friendship by an owner I don’t know. I know you know something 

about it. Please tell me!” I exclaimed and my eyes were full of 

braveriness and… Desperate.   Suddenly, she began to cry. Thick 

tears fell down to her soft cheeks. Her eyes were full of tears that 

I began to feel weak.

    “I.. I am sorry, Elly. This is all my fault! I should have not 

accepted the hand they gave me! It’s all my fault!” then, she 

began to cry more than she did. “I shouldn't have promise to get 

money if I broke friendship with you! Is there anything I can do? I 

don’t really want to get money and break friendship that was for 

all my life… I don’t want to sell you!” She sadly talked. I got it 

now. I knew that the girl, would be rich if she tried to give money. 

She also should hate me so much.
