Cassandra Leigh Austen
Jane Austen was born on 16 December 1775 in the village of Steventon, England. Her father, George Austen, was a pastor and her mother, Cassandra, loved to read. Jane had six brothers and a sister named Cassandra who was her best friend.
From a young age, Jane loved stories. Her house was filled with books, and she spent hours reading stories of adventure and romance. Jane and her sister, Cassandra, often created their own plays and stories, and performed them for their family.

In her teenage years, Jane spent a lot of time at home surrounded by her family. They shared laughter and love in their cozy home. Inspired by those around her, Jane writes about the everyday lives of young women like herself, capturing their hopes and dreams.

As Jane grew older, her passion for writing blossomed. She began writing her first novels in secret, dreaming of one day sharing her stories with the world. With every word she wrote, her characters came to life in exciting worlds full of love and adventure.
When Jane was in her early thirties, she achieved something wonderful! Her first novel, Sense and Sensibility, was published in 1811. This story of two sisters with different personalities touched many hearts and marked the beginning of her writing career.

Next is Pride and Prejudice, one of Jane's most beloved novels. It tells the story of Elizabeth Bennet, a smart young woman who learns about love and understanding through her encounter with the arrogant Mr. Darcy. Readers will laugh and cry as they follow their journey!
