Once upon a time in a snow-covered land, there was a great Ash tree. One day she woke to see her land so white and beautiful, but she wondered if there was more in the world for her. 

As she wondered her purpose she sat and watched as family after family took away and wondered why this happened once a year until one long and fateful day it was her turn.

While she was excited for this new adventure. She contemplated why this was happening. She then heard a beautiful voice explain to her " Why you my dear tree have the best purpose. You are a yule tree." Without hesitation she felt a sense of pride but what was Yule?

When the family was done, she started her adventure to a far-off place. Along the way, she encountered some new and strange things. Her first sight was something bright but what was this light? Is this my new home my purpose in sight?

"No. my dear it is not." the voice answered. In curiosity, she asked this new voice" well then what is this new light and who are you?" With a flash, she knew this new voice was meant to guide her along the way and help her understand her purpose. The voice answered, " Well that is called a menorah and is used for celebrating Hannukah" The tree wondered what this was, and without a word, the voice showed her.

She now understood that this was something known as a holiday that people celebrate and that there are many different ones. Hanukkah is one celebrated by Jewish people and one that is celebrated by lighting the menorah once a night for eight whole nights. This is done because a long time ago in a holy land people who reclaimed a temple were able to keep one lit for eight days with one day's supply of oil and this is looked at as a miracle.
