Halo-Halo is a very famous Filipino dessert. THis dessert consist of Evaporated Milk, Shaved Ice, Ube (Taro) Ice Cream, green jelly, red, jelly, white jelly, sweetened beans, sweetened fruits (sometimes a replacement for the jelly), sweetened coconut and sometimes Stick-O (Filipino Wafer Stick Brand).

Itlog, or egg is one of the most
important foods in Filipino
history. Without chickens or
quails it will be a sad life for us

Jeepney is a type of transportation used by Filipinos. It is a bus mixed with a Jeep build.
It was brought by the Americans as army buses in WW2. And after WW2 they abandoned the Jeepneys and the Filipinos claimed the Jeepneys as theirs.

Kamayan is eating in English. In the Philippines, it is very common to eat with your hands, but always make sure to wash your hands first.

Laro or game/playing is a common thing done by everyone, including Filipinos. Many games in the Philippines were made by children and are now always being played every day.
An example of this is "Tumbang Preso." It's a game where you have to aim your slipper at a metal can.

is for Maganda

Maganda or beautiful in English is a compliment used to tell somebody there beautiful.
But most Filipinos usually use this word for saying their (or our), country is beautiful!

Nanay is mom in Filipino. WIthout a Mother figure, filipinos (or we) wouldn't know how to cook or respect a women!

is for Opo

Opo in filipino is saying yes but in a respectful type of way.
If you don't use opo when talking to your grandparents, you're definitely in trouble!

You should always be "pasalamat" or grateful in your life that you are alive, you have parents, a roof over your head, if your not how would you be happy?
