Once upon a time, in a vast, ancient forest, there was a small seed who came from a line of mighty, towering trees. Her family stood tall and proud, their roots deeply connected to the earth, reaching for the sky. These trees had weathered many storms and stood strong in the face of everything that came their way. The seed carried all the strength and wisdom of her ancestors, and she knew deep down she too was meant to grow tall, proud, and free.

But she was different. The seed was the emotional seed, the one who loved deeply, cared for all the animals, and held the values of kindness, strength, and integrity. She walked through life with her heart open, always giving, always nurturing. She made the right choices, always staying true to herself and her values—even when it meant facing hardships, even when it meant being misunderstood, and even when it meant enduring pain. But the world around her didn’t see her gifts.
The soil where she was planted was cracked and dry. It wasn’t deep enough to hold her roots, and it didn’t offer the nourishment she needed. The soil, much like the world around her, kept telling her, “You are too much. Your love is too vast. Your strength too strong. You cannot grow here.”
For a while, she tried to shrink. She tried to make herself smaller, to care less, to be like the others. She believed the soil—believed that her love and her values were too much for the world to handle. She tried to please the earth, thinking that if she just gave a little less, if she made herself smaller, the soil would finally let her grow.
But no matter how much she tried to shrink, the soil still pulled her back. She couldn’t grow where she didn’t belong, in a place that wanted her to be something she was never meant to be.

One day, as the seed stood there, struggling, the breeze—ancient and wise—passed through the forest. The breeze could feel the weight of her struggles, the confusion and frustration she carried. It whispered, “Why are you staying here, in soil that cannot hold you?”
The seed, feeling worn out and defeated, answered, “I want to grow tall, like the trees in my family. I want to stand proud and strong, but this soil keeps telling me I’m too much. It makes me feel small, makes me feel like my love is a burden, like I’m wrong for caring. I can’t grow like this.”
The breeze, full of wisdom, spoke softly but firmly, “You are not too much. Your love, your strength, your values—these are your gifts, and they are not meant to be buried. The soil
cannot hold you because it doesn’t honor your true nature. You were meant to stand tall, to grow with everything you have. You don’t need to shrink, change, or fit in. You are strong enough to grow on your own.”

The breeze continued, “You are like the trees that grow in cracks of concrete. They don’t need soil to grow. They don’t need permission to stretch their roots, to rise toward the sky. They simply trust in their strength, and they grow. You have the power to do the same. Trust in yourself. Trust that you are enough just as you are.”
The seed listened carefully to the breeze, and for the first time, she understood. She didn’t need the soil to change for her. She didn’t need to shrink or change her nature to fit into a world that didn’t understand her. She was enough.

So, the seed decided to trust the breeze. She moved to a new place, where the soil was rich and deep, where she could stretch her roots freely and grow without limitation. She planted herself firmly in the soil, trusting herself. As she grew into a mighty tree, she felt the fullness of her strength, the love she had always carried flowing freely, and the pride of knowing she had stood tall, just as she was meant to.
The tree looked back at the cracked, dry soil where it had once struggled. “I was never meant to grow there,” the tree thought. “I am not like the other trees, but I am strong in my own way. I am the emotional seed, misunderstood by many, but my roots are my own. I don’t need anyone to make the soil deeper for me.”
And so, the tree stood tall, proud of her roots—rooted in her values, strength, love, and the wisdom of its ancestors. She knew that she would raise a generation of trees who would grow strong, remain true to their values, and never shrink to fit someone else’s world.
