Once upon a time lived a little girl, a little boy, their 

father woodcutter and their stepmother.The little boy's 

name was Hansel and the girl's name was Gretel.They 

lived in a cottage and were very poor.One night the 

father and the stepmother spoke.

"We need to get rid of those stupid kids" said the 

stepmother "Why did you just say that!" said the father 

"We just don't have enough food to feed our family" 

said the stepmother.The kids hard their parent's 

conversation. The next day their parents took them into 

the woods. 

On the way Hansel dropped rock along the path. 

"Hansel they ditched us how will we find our way back" 

said Gretel "Follow me" said Hansel.They both followed 

the rocks back home but the rocks lead to a house 

made of candy.Hansel and Gretel started to eat the 

house until a witch   grabbed them and took them 

inside.The witch put Hansel in a cage and Gretel hat to 

do the chores.The witch tried to fatten Hansel up and 

eat him.     

Then a potato saves Hansel and Gretel.
