Characters: Tide: fierce, ferocious, caring SeaWing dragonet

Rip: kind, shy, smart SeaWing dragonet, loves scrolls

Setting: SeaWing palace in the fantastical world of Pyrrha

It was a stormy night in the palace of the sea, where the seawings lived. Tide was ramming into the training dummy while Rip was reading his scrolls, finally it was time for bed. Rip yelled to Tide, " It's time for bed Tide!" She answered, " Go to bed without me tonight!" So he did. That next morning Tide was very cranky. So Rip told his dad the king. Their dad says He will tell queen Anemone right away who is there mother. But when he gets the answer she just dismisses his worries and makes Tide work harder. Every time since then Tide has been mean to Rip. Finally he had enough of it. He decided to run away.

He started packing, then his dad came in the room. He had a tear in his eye but started helping. When Tide noticed him packing she was going to stop him but, exhaustion got to her she passed out. He had a longing to stay that was brutal, but if he wanted a happy life he had to leave he packed 4 things basically he all he had because of his gender. He packed a shell that was a gift when he was born from his sister, a picture of the family, and some other things.

He finally felt free for once in his life, because his mother was always making him help with the war, but whenever there was a battle he was the only one scarless and afraid. He was heading into a snowy land when he entered an icewing (Ice Dragon) jumped on him and bit him he yelled, " Who are you?!" She answered bitterly, " Storm, who are?!" He said, " I'm Rip, why are you here you are suppose to be in the ice kingdom!" Storm said," It's none of your business seawing." Rip saw a flash of silver from a snow cave that was a female icewing's tail he thumped Storm with his tail and went to investigate.
