Frog ran up the path to Toads house. He knocked on the front door. There was no answer. "Toad! Toad!" Shouted Frog. "Wake up. It is Spring!" "Blah," said a voice from inside the house. The sun is shining! Wake Up!

Dark- There is no light and it's hard to see.
Curtains- A piece of fabric that can be hung from a window. A curtain can cover the window.
Bed- A comfy place where you sleep at night.
Frog walked into the house. It was dark. All the curtains were closed. "Toad, where are you?" Called Frog. "Go away," said the voice. Toad was lying in bed.

Blanket- A soft piece of cloth to cover yourself and stay warm.
Push- Use your hands to move something or someone.
Porch- A small area outside connected to your house.
Toad pulled the blanket over his head. Frog pushed Toad out of bed. He pushed him out of the house and onto the porch. Toad blinked in the bright sun. "Help!" said Toad. "I cannot see anything."

April- The fourth month.
Meadow- A big open area filled with grass, trees, and flowers.
Woods- A big area with trees, flowers, and animals.
Swim- Moving with your arms and legs in water.
River- A long body of water.
Stars- Brights lights you see at night.
"Don't be silly," said Frog. "What you see is the warm light of April. "We will skip through the meadow, run through the woods, and swim through the river. In the evenings we will sit right here on this front porch and count the stars."

Tired- Feeling sleepy
"You can count the stars, Frog," said Toad. "I will be too tired. I am going back to bed.

Pull- Using your hands to bring something closer.
Toad went back into the house. He got into the bed and pulled the blanket over his head again. "But, Toad," cried Frog, "you will miss all the fun!" "Listen, Frog," said Toad. "How long have I been asleep?"
