she wrote these poems to be passed along to her grandkids and great grandkids and anyone else that would enjoy them.

Which Way Should I Go?

I could go to the beach
and run my toes through the sand
I would gather seashells
close at hand

I could watch the tide come in
with its mighty roar
and crash upon the rocks
when it hits the shore

I could look up at the sky
and see the seagulls flying by
I could wave at the sailboats passing by

I could go to the city
Where the bright lights are pretty
and the tall buildings
reach to the sky

I could walk down the street
Some people I'd greet
and have some pizza pie
I could peek in the stores
with their great big doors
as far as I could see
I could press my nose upon the glass
very cautiously
I could go to the park
where the dogs run and bark
and the grass grows green all around

Where the kids run outside
and take turns on the slide
and play on the merry-go-round

From a bench I could see
all the leaves on the tree
turn their colors when it becomes chill
