To Renley, Parklyn and Amelia. May you grow up on a beautiful, green Earth.

Deep in a vibrant forest, there lived a clever fox named Finn. Finn loved his home more than anything in the whole world. He viewed the tall oak trees, the sparkling stream, the soft, squishy moss under his paws, and the chorus of birds that sang every morning, as simply magical.

It was a perfect place for him to play, explore, and find food. One day as Finn was exploring, he noticed something that troubled him.

The leaves on the trees seemed a little less green, the flowers were not as bright, and the once sparkling stream seemed to be murky and unclean. Finn, being the brave and curious fox he was, decided to investigate. Across the forest he saw his friend, Ruby the rabbit, who was gathering food.

“Ruby!” Finn called out. “Do you know what's happening to our forest? Everything just looks so… sad”
Ruby stopped and responded, “I was just thinking the same thing. The air doesn't feel fresh, and there has been less and less food for us to gather. I’ve heard that humans have been cutting down our trees and filling our forests with garbage. Just the other day my good friend, Terrance the turtle, mistaked some plastic for delicious food."

Finn’s heart sank. He knew that if he didn't take action his beloved forest and friends could be in trouble. He wanted to do something; anything to help.
“I've got an idea!” Finn called out. “I'm going to help take care of our earth, and then our forest will be saved.”

Ruby looked at Finn, a confused look on her face. “How will you do that, Finn? You’re just one little fox.”
Finn smiled with excitement. “I might just be a small fox, but I can make a difference. I’ll start by picking up any trash I see, planting new trees, and telling everyone how important it is to do the same. If we all work together, we can make a change.”

The next morning, Finn got to work. He wandered through the forest, picking up plastic bottles and cans that the humans had left behind. Then, he dug small holes and planted acorns, hoping to grow new oak trees to replace the ones that had been cut down.

As he worked, other animals started to take notice. A squirrel named Sam stopped and asked, “Finn, what are you doing?”
“I’m helping take care of our forest!” Finn said proudly. “Would you like to help me plant some trees?”
Sam nodded eagerly. “I’d love to! And I can pick up some trash too!” said Sam.
