  Garrett was born a simple goldfish. He was 

not very big, and actually rather small. But he 

was known all around for being a very smart 

and quick-thinking organism. For having this 

talent, he had many admirers. 

   He also had lots of friends. Some of his 

most trusted ones were Carey Clownfish, Sally 

Shrimp, and Dick Dolphin. He was very happy 

about his habitat, and had a very good 

amount of needs.

   He loved to spend his own free time meeting 

new people. One day, he met Sammy Shark. 

   Sammy was the biggest fish he had ever 

seen! He was really nice too. Once they figured 

out each other's personal life, Garrett 

introduced him to Sally, Dick, and Carey. 

Soon, they all hung out together.

   What Garrett really liked about Sammy was 

that he was always bringing them food 

whenever they met with each other. Sammy 

had incredible hunting abilities and was always 

willing to share his food with Garrett and the 

others.

   Sammy was always telling them about his 

friends. Scott, Sue, and Sean. That's what he 

always said. "You should come meet them," he 

told everyone. 

   Garrett finally found a way that he could. He 

let Sammy know a few days before he would 

come.

   On the big day, Sammy brought all of the 

people he knew that could make it. (Of course, 

that was nearly fifty.) 

   "Come on, guys! I don't want to be late! Do 

you?" he asked hurriedly. Of course, their 

answer was always yes.

   The minute they arrived, Garrett knew 

something was wrong. Sammy was nowhere in 

sight; in fact, no one was to be seen 

anywhere.
