Johnny woke up early, filled with excitement and a little nervousness. Today was his first day at a new school! He put on his backpack and walked with his mom, who gave him a reassuring hug at the school gates. As he stepped into the bright and colorful classroom he was overwhelmed with joy.

Johnny saw children chatting and playing. A kind teacher welcomed him with a warm smile and introduced him to the class. Mrs. Moore was so nice. It made Johnny feel assured that he was going to enjoy being in Kindergarten.

 He took a seat and soon made a new friend, Abron, who helped him understand the morning activities. Wow everyone was so nice, Johnny thought. He was looking forward to making new friends.

At lunchtime, Johnny met another friend named Malik. They sat together in the cafeteria, enjoying their meals while getting to know each other. They talked about their favorite games and laughed at each other’s jokes. Johnny felt happy to have found two new friends on his first day of school.

During reading time, Johnny sat in class, following along as the teacher guided them through a fun story. He listened carefully, sounding out words and gaining confidence in his reading skills. Malik cheered him on, and Johnny beamed with pride. Wow, this feels amazing, he thought!

During recess, Johnny and Malik ran to the playground, laughing as they climbed the jungle gym and raced down the slides. But then, a bigger kid named Derek blocked Johnny’s way. "New kid, huh? Stay out of my way," Derek said, crossing his arms.
