"Friends around the world" etwinning project
Our 5th and 2nd graders (approximately 60 students) participated in this project. Our goal was to plant trees and plants in a nearby square, and assume responsibility for their growth. We talked about the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) and the importance of protection and preservation of the environment. We also brought a specialised agriculturist to talk about the plants and herbs grown in Crete.

We planted basil, thyme, oregano and rosemary. We had so much fun and commited to take care of them even during our hot summer!
