冼星海年少时便展现出对音乐的浓厚兴趣，曾于国立音乐院及岭南大学学习，奠定深厚的音乐基础。

From a young age, Xian Xinghai exhibited a profound interest in music. He studied at the National Conservatory of Music and Lingnan University, laying a solid foundation for his musical career.

他课余加入校内银行乐队演奏直箫，因单簧管演奏极富感染力，被誉为“南国箫手”。

During his spare time, he joined the school's bank band, where he played the vertical flute. His expressive clarinet performances earned him the nickname "The Flute Master of the South."

这段经历不仅磨练了他的音乐技艺，更让他在广州音乐界崭露头角。培正中学慕名邀请他担任音乐教员兼乐队指挥，年仅十余岁的他，竟能指挥数十人的学生乐队，成为当地佳话。

This period not only honed his musical skills but also brought him recognition in Guangzhou's music circles. Pui Ching Middle School, impressed by his talent, invited him to serve as a music instructor and band conductor. Despite being only in his teens, he successfully led a student band of dozens, becoming a local legend.
