   It was class pet day. Dogs barked. Cats 

meowed. Birds squawked. A frog croaked. 

And a fish swam in its bowl.

   The teacher, Mr. Cordorelli, made a chart 

that read the name of the child, what kind of 

pet they had, and what the name of it was.

   "Now, George, I see you have a dog. What's 

his name?"

   George shook his head. "Cat," he said.

   Confused, Mr. Cordorelli moved on. "Now, I 

see that you have a cat there, Hannah," 

   Hannah nodded.

   "I can tell you have a bird, Johnny, but 

what's his name?"

   "Correct," Johnny stated.

   "Who's your pet, Avery?"

   "That's my pet," said Bryce.

   "I'm not talking to you, Bryce. I'm talking to 

Avery."

   "Ribbit," explained Avery.

   Jude exclaimed, "This is crazy!"
