To my teacher who allowed us to express our imaginations through words and pictures.

A teacher summons one of her pupils in front. She smiles softly, as a girl with a flattering face walks up front and begins to recite the history of Valladolid, their town. With a sparkle in her eyes the girl creates a vivid picture among her peers mind about their little town. Dating to the past where the roads were only made of rocks and the Spanish ruled over the Filipinos.
The teacher smiles, feeling a sense of satisfaction as she reflects on the lessons she has imparted to her students regarding the rich history of Valladolid. She recalls how she engaged her students with captivating stories of the city's past, from its humble beginnings as a medieval settlement to its transformation into a thriving cultural hub.
Her teaching approach involved interactive activities that brought history to life, such as role-playing exercises where students took on the roles of prominent figures in Valladolid's history. Through these activities, the students gained a deeper understanding of the challenges and triumphs that shaped the city over the centuries.

The teacher also made sure to highlight key historical events that defined Valladolid, such as the hosting of the Spanish Court during the reign of the Catholic Monarchs. By delving into the political and social dynamics of that time, she helped her students appreciate the city's significance in shaping Spain's history.
Furthermore, the teacher emphasized the architectural wonders of Valladolid, showcasing iconic landmarks like the Sea View and the Valladolid Cathedral. She encouraged her students to explore these sites themselves, fostering a sense of connection to the city's heritage.
As the teacher basks in the glow of her students' newfound knowledge and enthusiasm for Valladolids history, she knows that she has successfully instilled a love for learning and a respect for the past in each of them. Her smile speaks volumes about the impact of her teachings, leaving a lasting impression on her students' minds and hearts.
As the class comes to a close, students gathered around the young lady who was summoned to the front.Their smiles lit up seeing that class was over and the teacher left the room. “That was a close call, I totally didn’t get that at all”One of the girls says as the others chuckled and laughed. Another agreed “Yeah if it weren’t for Astrid she would raise hell on us”. Astrid smiles and advises that they should listen attentively next time. As the girls continued their conversation Astrid suggests that before they go home they should visit the church. After all its just a 5 block walk from their school. The girls agreed and before they went home they went to the church to pray.
When Astrid got home she could hear a commotion happening in the living room. She checked to see what was happening only to find her parents fighting. She took a step forward but then looked back, she thought for a moment and decided that it was their own problem to solve. After all she’s just a kid what could she help. If she just let it be and get a good nights sleep everything would be fine tomorrow. How wrong of her to think that. The next morning she woke up to yet another commotion. Her mother yelling at her father and her father packing a luggage. Astrid was confused at this point, she just woke up and was still in her pajamas to see her mother begging her father not to leave and her father yelling at her mom was…. Something? What was happening? Is her father gonna leave? For how long? Before Astrid could process what was happening her father already walked out of the door.
Rumours spread around town about her parents marriage. Many say that they were breaking apart. Luckily for Astrid many love to spread lies and deceive people. There was another rumour around town, its about her friend, Angie. It was heard that she was pregnant at the age of just 13. Astrid knew this girl, she knew that her friend was known to be pretty close with boys and too mature for her age. As much as Astrid would love to talk back and tell people not too spread these lies she stayed quiet. The truth will come out sooner or later.
