Sam loved his home. His home was warm, his home was safe, and his home was filled with laughter. Every day after school, he ran home as fast as he could. At home, he could eat his favorite snacks, play with his dog, and listen to stories from his grandmother.
One day, something unexpected happened. A big storm came, and the wind was strong. It shook the trees and rattled the windows. Sam stayed inside his home, hoping the storm would pass. But the next morning, his home was different. The roof had broken, the garden was a mess, and the fence had fallen.

Sam felt sad. “Will our home ever be the same again?” he asked his mother.
His mother smiled. “A home is not just a house, Sam. A home is where we are together.”
