One bright morning, Mia and her brother, Sam, decided to enter the big fishing contest at the lake. They had been practicing for weeks, and today was the day to win the prize.

Mia grabbed her fishing rod and said, “I hope I catch the biggest fish! I’m ready for the challenge!”

Sam smiled and nodded. "I’m ready, too! Let’s see who can catch the biggest fish. I’ll fit my fishing gear first."

They found a good spot by the lake and started to fish. 

After a while, Mia felt a strong tug on her line. "I think I have something!" she shouted.

Sam quickly pulled his rod back and said, “I hope it’s a fish!” He was excited. Mia started to fill the bucket with water, preparing to catch the fish she was about to reel in.

But just as she was about to pull it out, she felt the fish get away. “I missed it!” she said, feeling disappointed.

“It’s okay,” Sam said. “It happens sometimes. I’m sure you’ll catch another one.”
