BEGINNING

Characters: Thorn - a young Sandwing, courageous and caring, the last of her town.

Qibli - Thorn's son, loyal, caring, smart, brave, mute.

Sunny - Thorn's daughter, loyal, caring, smart, and brave.

Stonemover - a Nightwing with animus powers, can see the future and read minds.

Setting: The story takes place in the world of Pyrrhia during The Scorching.

Moral: The story conveys that perseverance leads to a happy ending, and highlights the importance of love and family.

   PROLOGUE             10 years before

Thorn the Sandwing was walking down the street when BOOM! A large fire ball came shooting down! Her sister yelled, " Get down! Queen Burn's attacking!" Her sister pushed her out of the way to get hit by a fire ball instead burning her to ash. Thorn stared at her sister's ashes,

then was pushed again by her other sister when she turned around all was ash she ran to the gate frightened and ran into the desert she looked back at her home everything was burning.

                                Present Time                                Thorn hid her kids from the soldiers flying by then walked out and urged them to follow her she then pounced on a lizard and said, "lunch for Sunny." Then pounced on another "lunch for Qibli."And finally pounced on one more "lunch for me!" She tossed the lizards to Sunny then Qibli and threw hers in her mouth.

Thorn started walking. Sunny and Qibli ran after her. Qibli still chewing his lizard Thorn said, " I have to get revenge on Burn for my sisters." Qibli looked at his mother surprised he was mute he shook his head at Sunny and did a little jester with his claws he was asking, " Has mum gone mad?" Sunny shrugged Thorn said, " I have not gone mad." Qibli fiddled with his claws again (he was using sign language) and was asking, " Are you sure?" Thorn yelled, "YES QIBLI I AM SURE." Qibli ducked down behind a rock frightened and asked with his claws, " Why'd you yell?" Thorn said, " Sorry beetle I didn't mean to snap."

Qibli put his claw on his forehead saying, " That's alright mum I forgive you." Thorn smiled not paying attention and ran into a Nightwing! Thorn raised her tail the Nightwing yelled, " Wait! I'm not with Burn!" Thorn asked, " How did you know what I was thinking and who are you?" He answered, " My name is Stonemover I am an animus, I can read minds, and see the future, I can also see prophecies." Thorn said, " Really what am I thinking?" Stonemover, " That I'm too handsome, too charming, and too cute too kill?" Thorn said, " Uh um. NO! Okay you win." Stonemover smiled and said, " Can I join you in your quest to get revenge? Burn destroyed my family just because, I forgot to bow to her before I asked her a favor."

Thorn said, " Um well okay more the merrier?" Then started walking again. They were at Blaze's Castle house made by Burn's husband, Six claws he was an animus, he put his powers in a vase so he couldn't go mad. When then they entered Blaze was sitting on a chair leaning  forward with one of her claws Stabilizing her, Stonemover walked into the room just as she got up and was by the door she turned around and slashed him with her tail Thorn jumped in and pinned Blaze to the ground stabbed Blaze with her claws then her tail.

                                    Chapter 2

They headed towards a restaurant so they could get some roasted camel it was so good. Thorn was happy and re energized. Then they decided to take the day off at a hotel just for a quick break Thorn and Stonemover left the kids at the hotel when they went to a party when they got back Thorn was unconscious Stonemover was awake and fine he was carrying her and said, " Sorry kids I wasn't paying attention and she drunk too much beer, but all she needs is a good night sleep!" The next morning Thorn woke up confused and she asked, " What happened last night?" Stonemover answered, " You drank too much beer." And frowned. She smiled and scratched her head.
