Petunia Plum and Ally Avocado became the best of friends. They, along with the other girls loved to play soccer at recess, talk and catch up during lunch, and have playdates on the weekends. Their school was a very peaceful place to be. Their teacher Ms. Spinach was extremely supportive and the other students in the school were kind and generous.

Petunia, Ally, and the other girls in their class would play soccer nearly every day at recess. They loved playing boys against the girls and the games were always fun and enjoyable. Even when the girls won, the boys always gave compliments. Lunch was a time for them to talk, but it was still a quiet and respectful environment. They couldn't imagine being at any other school. They were very happy.

Until one day, a new kid joined their classroom. His name was Bradley Broccoli and he was not a very nice boy. He always seemed to look angry and never really smiled. Petunia wondered why Bradley acted and looked the way he did. She tried to befriend him by smiling and introducing herself. Bradley gave her a dirty look and walked away abruptly, but that didn't stop Petunia from trying again. That day at recess she asked Bradley if he wanted to play soccer with the rest of the class. Again he just walked away looking angry.
I am not sure what to do. Who should I talk to for help?

As the days went on, things didn't change. Bradley began calling the girls names, pulling their hair, and even trying to turn the other boys against them. He told Petunia she was ugly and a terrible soccer player. This really hurt her feelings, and was the last straw for Petunia. She knew she needed help, but wasn't sure who could support her in changing Bradley's behavior.
First, she tried talking to her bestie Ally. Ally agreed that Bradley was acting like a bully and that his behavior was not acceptable. She told Petunia to try ignoring him because sometimes bullies try to get reactions from the person they are hurting. If Petunia walked away and ignored him, maybe Bradley would stop. This sounded like a good thing to try, so Petunia worked really hard at ignoring Bradley. Unfortunately, this didn't help and actually made things worse.
