Water is all around us. It's in the oceans, lakes, rivers, and ponds. Water is very important for all living things. Let's learn more about different bodies of water!

Oceans are the biggest bodies of water. They are very deep and have salt water. Oceans cover most of the earth. Many things live in the ocean like fish, dolphins, whales and even sharks! The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean on earth.

Lakes are big, but not as big as oceans. They have fresh water, not salt water. Some lakes are so big that you cannot see across them! You can swim, fish, and go boating on a lake. The Great Lakes are some of the biggest lakes in the world!
Rivers are long and they flow across the land. They start in the mountains and flow down to oceans or lakes. The Amazon River is one of the longest rivers. Many people and animals use rivers to get water.
