In the distant future, where cities floated above the clouds and the stars were as close as the moon. Every year in the beautiful city of Astra, there was a great scientific competition where the brightest minds from all across the galaxy gathered in the floating arena to showcase their most innovative inventions.
Chapter 1
This year's competition was extra special, with the theme "Innovation for a better tomorrow." Teams from various planets would compete to create something that could change the world, but there was one rule that all competitors had to follow: Integrity. They could not cheat, copy, or use shortcuts. The judges would not just be looking at the inventions but at how honestly they were created.
Andrea,Luna and Shraddha were a team and they were ready for the challenge.Their teacher, Ms Jasmine, had been guiding them for months, and she believed that they had what it took to win the grand prize. The trio spent countless hours designing their invention: a device that could clean the polluted atmosphere of any planet. The device was small but powerful, capable of purifying air with just a single burst of energy. It was the culmination of all their hard work, knowledge, and imagination.
On the day of the competition, the floating arena was buzzing with excitement. Teams presented their inventions one by one, and the audience marveled at the creativity and brilliance of each project. The judges, a panel of esteemed scientists from all across the galaxy, were impressed by the originality and promise of each invention. Finally it was Andrea,Luna and Shraddha's turn.
As they approached the stage, their hearts
raced. They were ready to show the judges their device, but as they began the demonstration, something went wrong. The device, instead of working perfectly, sputtered and shut down. The crowd gasped, and the judges exchanged concerned looks.Andrea was the first to speak up, her voice shaking. "It’s... it’s malfunctioning. We didn’t expect this. But we worked so hard—"
Luna stepped forward, her voice steady. "We could try to fix it right now... no one will know if we make a small adjustment." She looked at Shraddha, who hesitated for a moment.
But Shraddha shook her head. "No. We promised ourselves we would not cheat. Our project must stand on its own, with no shortcuts."
Andrea looked down at their invention, feeling disappointed. It wasn’t perfect. But then, she remembered something Ms. Jasmine had told them earlier: "True success doesn’t come from winning; it comes from staying true to your values, no matter what."With a deep breath, Andrea stepped forward. "We’re sorry, judges. Our invention isn’t working as we expected, but we built it honestly. It’s not perfect, but we stand by it.
