Lucero was a little girl who lived alone on the streets of a small town. Every night, she gazed at the stars, dreaming of a place where she would be loved.
 

The Promise of a Star

One night, a shooting star shone brightly. "Make a wish," the wind whispered. Lucero closed her eyes and wished for a home.
 

An Unexpected Encounter
 

The next day, Lucero met a kind old man named Don Esteban. "Are you hungry? Come with me," he said with a smile.

Don Esteban took her to his home, a cozy place full of flowers. "This can be your home if you wish," he said tenderly.
 

Learning to Trust 

At first, Lucero was afraid. She wasn’t used to receiving affection. But little by little, she began to feel safe and loved.

One day, Don Esteban discovered that Lucero had a beautiful voice. "You have a special gift," he told her. "The world needs to hear you."
