One summer day, in Mrs.Mabel's third grade class,
during Math time, Zack again bullied Jim." Hey Jim!"
he whispered." You have so neat handwriting that
Mrs.Mabel will think you did your Math test on a
computer and will ask you to do it over again!" After
the bell rang, everyone went out to recess. Jim ran
to the tether-ball poles and started playing with
Katrina." I can never stop Zack from bullying me
because of my fast and neat handwriting. He even
does it during Math time!" complained Jim."Do
something good him and he'll feel ashamed" Katrina
said.

" But when do I get an opportunity?" asked
Jim.There was a silence for 20 seconds.Then Katrina
said,"Remember? Zack asked for help all the time
during Math for the past two months?" " Yeah,"
replied Jim. " So you can help him instead of
Mrs.Mabel and make him feel ashamed" " Great
idea!" exclaimed Jim as Katrina finally made a tether
since the past 30 minutes. Both of them were really
good at tether ball. After Mrs.Mabel brought
everyone back into the classroom,it was end of the
day.

Jim's mom was waiting outside in her car. Jim climbed
on board and the car went away. By the time they got
home, Jim quickly took of his shoes and socks,
climbed upstairs and ran to his room. Then he sat on
his bed with a clipboard, pencil, paper and eraser and
quickly started working on his division facts.Everyone
had to. Tomorrow was the pre-test.he wrote them
very well and memorized the strategy applied in all
cases.he was sure that Mrs.Mabel would be proud if
he taught Zack a lesson. Most importantly, Zack would
never bully him again.

While dinner, he made a plan on how to teach Zack
a lesson and wrote it on a note that said:"First sneak
into the classroom without anyone noticing before
the school starts.Quickly read,understand and
memorize division facts for helping Zack. Then go out
of classroom and play tether ball." By the time he
was finished with his dinner,it was almost bedtime
and so he quickly brushed his teeth and went to
sleep. The next day, when he got to school, he ran to
the tether ball poles and started playing after he
finished everything on the list he made last night.
