Exposition

Piggy lived on a big island with other boys. Some boys wanted to just play and eat food. Piggy had smart ideas, but no one listened. They laughed at his glasses and called him names. He felt like his voice didn’t matter.

Hey! That was my coconut!

Stop fighting! We need to work together!

Conflict introduced

Soon, things got worse. The boys started yelling and fighting. They stopped working together. They took food without asking and knocked over shelters. The island felt wild and angry.

Maybe I’ll never be good enough to help.

Rising Action Part 1

Piggy stood alone by the end of the town. He watched the others scream and steal and push. His heart felt heavy, like a rock in his chest.

In my home, we follow a special way called "Ren". (Smith et al). It means being kind and caring to others even if they aren’t kind back. Respect brings peace. When you respect others, they’ll start to listen ("Ren Summary").

Rising Action Part 2

Piggy wandered into the quiet woods and found a turtle sitting by a tree.
The turtle had kind eyes and a slow, peaceful voice.

Rising Action Part 3

Piggy and the turtle kept walking until a gentle dove flew down beside him. It flapped its wings softly and looked at him with love.

I live by a peaceful way called "wu wei" (Christenson). It means not pushing or forcing, just going with the flow, like a river. Let things flow, little one. Sometimes peace comes when you "stop pushing" (The School of Life).

Maybe I don’t need to yell to be heard.

Under a shady tree, Piggy met a sleepy panda resting on the tree.The panda smiled and gave Piggy advice on what to do.
