Derrick Rose was the 1st pick for the 2008-2009 season. During his first season in the NBA, he averaged 16.8 points per game, 6.3 assists per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. During this season, his team went 41-41. Derrick Rose won the Rookie Of the Year award during this season.

During the 2010-2011 season, Derrick Rose led the Chicago Bulls to the NBA Playoffs. The team record that season was 62-20. Rose averaged 25.0 points per game, 7.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game. He was named to the All-NBA first team and he earned the title of the league MVP during this season. Unfortunately, they did not win the NBA championship.
