Story Jumper is a tool that students can use to create digital books.  Props, scenes, and stock photos are available.  Photos can also be uploaded.  A neat feature is that a student can record their own voice to have the book be a read-aloud.  There is an extra option to purchase and publish books too.  Teachers can join for free and add their students manually or via Google Classroom!    

Story Jumper can be used and incorporated with elementary, middle, or high schoolers.  For my seventh-graders, I am thinking of assigning an All About Me book to start off the year and introduce themselves to me.  Then, as the school year progresses, I can see this tool being used for narratives and story boards.  I also imagine using this for a vocabulary book or informational writing.  The options are endless.  

The voice recording tool can be utilized so that presentations can be displayed to the class without having to speak to the group live.  This is handy for those that get embarrassed, flustered, or lost in thought when participating in public speaking.

Instructional Pros :

Story Jumper is very easy to use.  It did not take me long to figure out how to make a digital book.  The text options, props, scenes, photos, and voice buttons were simple to put into action.  This tool could be applied to any content area.
