Chapter 1: Packing

Sparkle, the baby unicorn, is very excited to go to Norway for her summer vacation with her mommy unicorn, Shine. Sparkle asked her mommy, "Do we have to flap our wings and fly all the way to Norway." Shine told her, "No, we cannot fly ourselves.  It is too far.  We need to take an overnight flight to Oslo."  Shine told her to finish packing quickly.  They both checked everything one last time. They had their passports, their water bottles, and snacks in their carry-on bag. They take rainbow corn, flowers and some hay for a snack.

Chapter 2: The Flight to Norway

Sparkle and Shine came to the Boston airport ready to board their flight. The security officer asked Sparkle to empty her water bottle. Sparkle said, "Sir, I need my water in the flight."  The officer said, "It's ok, you can refill your water bottle after security."  Sparkle was not thrilled. Shine told Sparkle not to argue with the officer.

In the flight, they both got good seats next to each other, but Sparkle did not like the food. Shine opened the bag and got the rainbow corn, flowers and hay for snack. After some napping, they arrived at Oslo airport. 

Chapter 3: Checking into the Hotel

When they came out of the airport, they got into a taxi. The taxi driver Tom asked, "Ma'am, what is the name of your hotel?"  Shine said that Uncle Pink Crayon had recommended them to stay in Hotel Glitter but they had not made a reservation yet. Tom said, "it is high season and Hotel Glitter is very popular and usually full".  When he called the hotel, it was bad news - they did not have any rooms left. Tom then recommended Hotel Dazzle and said the manager Jill is his friend. Sure enough Jill was able to reserve a room for them. When they reached the hotel Sparkle asked Jill, "Do you have a bunkbed. My friend Jackie told me it is so much fun to sleep in a bunkbed."  Shine said, "Calm down, they may not have one in this hotel."  But Jill was able to get them a room with a bunkbed.

Chapter 4: The Pillow

Sparkle and Shine got into the room and Sparkle liked the bunkbed a lot. Soon they realized that they did not bring the special pillow that unicorns use.  They went down to the reception and asked Jill for the special unicorn pillow but Jill said that all the rooms come with the same standard pillow.  When they came back, Shine told Sparkle, "You need to be very still while sleeping so you don't poke your horn into the pillow." A few hours into the night, Sparkle was turning and tossing and her horn accidentally poked a hole into the pillow and all the feathers started coming out.  Shine jumped out of the bed, "oh my god, I was worried about this." She hurried to the reception to get some sewing material. Using a curvy needle, she managed to stitch the holes in the pillow and they both tried to sleep again.
