Penny Gwen was a little blue penguin. She lived on a little island near New Zealand. Penny Gwen enjoyed being a penguin, but she always wished she could fly.    

    Everyday Penny Gwen would go to the beach and watch the birds. She would see them soar above her. She couldn't help but wish she could too. 

    One day Penny Gwen was watching the birds again. "I wish I could fly like that," she said to herself.

    All of a sudden a glowing light appeared. When the light cleared a sparkling little fairy appeared. "I can help you with that," she said. 

    With a wave of her wand and a sudden POOF glitter surrounded Penny Gwen. When she looked down she had a pair of shimmery pink fairy wings!    

    "Why would you help me like this?" asked Penny Gwen. 

    "Oh, my boss, the fairy queen said I was being a bad fairy and I had to do nice things for others. You're welcome." 

Before Penny Gwen could thank her, the fairy disappeared into a sunbeam.  

    Penny Gwen was excited to show all the other penguins her new wings. Four wings! How amazing. She could swim and fly now. Penny flew all the way home. c

    She came across her friends Duchess, Tiara, Queenie, and Diamond, the emperor penguins. "What's on your back?" Diamond said, laughing. 

    "They are my new flying wings" Penny Gwen said.

   "Penguins can't fly," exclaimed Duchess. 

    "Who has ever heard of a penguin with four wings?" laughed Tiara. The penguins laughed. Penny Gwen ran away crying. 

    Penny Gwen ran to her house, where the village elder, the Grand Macaroni lived. "Why are you crying, Penny Gwen?" he asked. 

    "The Emperor penguins are making fun of my new wings!" she cried. "I don't want to be different anymore!"    

    The Grand Macaroni was a bit surprised to see Penny with fairy wings, but he had seen stranger things in his 2026 years of living. Nothing could surprise him at this point. "But Penny Gwen, we are already different. You should go visit my family, The Macaroni Penguins. They can teach you."

    Penny Gwen waddled to the edge of the iceberg and took flight. As she flew through the sky, she was amazed by her new perspective. I've never seen this iceberg from up this high! She thought.   

    Penny arrived in the land of the Macaroni penguins. "Welcome Penny Gwen, the Grand Macaroni told me about you" said the Queen."I am Queen Pasta."     

     Queen Pasta and Penny waddled across the iceberg together. "On this iceberg, we love our crazy hair! It's what makes us special."
