DIGITAL DETECTIVES AND TIME SHIELD
Türkkonut Emel Önal Primary School
Özge YILDIZ- Ankara

It was an exciting morning in the 3-H class at the Blue School. A brand-new tablet sat on Yusuf and Kerem's desk. "Teacher, we're going to discover the world's most challenging games with this tablet!" they exclaimed. The whole class was curious about this mysterious device.

After school, Yusuf and Kerem got engrossed in a game. Suddenly, the tablet screen lit up, pulling them into a digital world! They found themselves in the middle of a gigantic labyrinth made of pixels.
This was the "Digital Forest." But there was a problem: the hands of the flying clocks were missing! The "Time-Eating Monster" was devouring every minute of the children's time. Yusuf and Kerem didn't even notice how time was passing.
As the hours passed, Yusuf and Kerem grew exhausted. Their "balance" had completely collapsed. The games had become so overwhelming that there was no room left for reading, sleeping, or playing with their friends.
The next day, while everyone in class was full of energy, Yusuf and Kerem couldn't get up from their seats. They had forgotten their homework and overslept in class. Teacher Özge said, "Children, it seems the monster has been wasting your time. Now it's time to become Digital Detectives!"
Class 3-H immediately got to work and prepared a "Time Shield." The rule was simple: first, all responsibilities would be completed, then only 20 minutes of playing games would be allowed. Everyone promised to be the master of their own time.
Everything changed when Yusuf and Kerem put their plan into action. Now they were doing their homework and having a blast with their friends in the park. By using technology cleverly, the monster didn't have a single minute left to steal from them!

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Nick. Nick loved the internet very much. He spent hours in front of a screen, watching videos, playing games, and scrolling endlessly. At first, everything felt fun and exciting.
But little by little, something started to change. He stopped going out to play with his friends, he didn’t laugh as much as he used to, and sometimes he felt lonely—even when he was “online.”
Days passed, and Nick didn’t really notice… until one afternoon, he looked out the window.
He saw the kids in his neighborhood playing, running, and laughing together. Something inside him made him pause.
Maybe I’m spending too much time online,”
At that moment, he realized it.
The next day, he talked to his parents.
I think I spend too much time on the internet… I need help
His parents were happy that he understood, and together they made a plan: less screen time and more time for playing, going outside, and being with friends.
At first, it wasn’t easy. Nick wanted to go back to his old habits. But every time he went outside and played, he started to feel better and better. He laughed again, rode his bike, talked with his friends, and felt truly happy.
And so, Nick learned something very important: the internet can be fun and useful, but real life, play, and friendships are what truly fill our hearts.
From that day on, he found the right balance .
