Chapter 1 Zoe

    Zoe checked the time: 10:30 pm, October 18th, 3026. She arrived at the ZAC Space Center to meet up with Cay, Zac, and Ada. They had reestablished the Kennedy Space Center from centuries ago, except it's larger, fancier, and better overall. "Heyyyyyy!" They greeted each other, and Zoe prepared her PowerPoint presentation. 

Chapter 2 Ada

   Ada listened to the PowerPoint presentation closely, taking notes, not really understanding anything. Apparently, Zoe wanted to go to Kepler 22B and set up a colony. Ada was confused. He shifted in his lab seat and raised his hand. "Um, can you elaborate on your point?" 

"Already have," Zoe answered, distracted by excitement, and continued talking. "I think this is a bad idea," Cay said. Ada stole a glance at Zac. He was silent. Ada sighed.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…. Oh! I’m awake! Jusssst… you know… taking notes!

Will you be quiet and listen?

Blah blah blah blah…

Chapter 3 Cay

       Cay did a bunch of math on his chalkboard. He dusted his chalky hands on his lab coat and stepped back. 

                                    He looked 

                        around for Zoe. "ZOE! 

                Come and look at the equations! I 

        think we can start planning with this! Wait.

 I think this is not good enough. I think this is bad. I don't want to do this mission." Zoe rolled her eyes, took a photo          with her phone, and erased the chalkboard. 

Chapter 4 Zac

       Zac looked at the chalkboard. Zoe continued yapping about her project. "So. Everyone has one spaceship each. We'll try to ship resources there and if all is successful -"

"I think otherwise," said Cay. 

"Ahem. If all is successful, we'll bring the human population to Kepler-22B!" Zac sighed. Well, at least they had a plan, which is rare enough already.

Chapter 5 Zoe

       Zoe looked up some resources. Every site she visited had skyrocketing prices that would leave her company bankrupt. "The necessary reagents are beyond the budgetary constraints of the project." 

Which is "All resources are too expensive" in a non-scientist language. "Just get cheaper ones!" Said Ada, scrolling his phone. Zoe groaned and searched for easy DIY rocket scientist materials on her MacBook. Then she told Zac to pick up some materials at Costco. The scientists then built the spaceships. 

Chapter 6 Ada & Cay

   Ada got into the spaceship. He yelled, "GO FOR LAUNCH!", feeling a new kind of anticipation. Back in mission control, Cay spoke into the radio doubtfully. It won't work, he thought. Back at the launchpad, Ada felt a gigantic shudder as he clicked the launch key, heard a BOOM, and flew into space. It's working! Ada thought. The view was breathtaking. 

Zoe's spaceship was coming closer, closer, then a bit too close. Her rocket crashed with Ada's, and they both screamed. Earth-shaking loud. Then Ada ejected himself out of the pilot seat and blew away to a distant planet, far, far away. Down, back on Earth, Cay watched the big iridescent explosion. "Well, that was dumb," Zac said. "Told you so!" answered Cay. So it was a bad idea. They didn't listen. 

 RUN!

 Chapter 7 Zac

    Zac looked at the remains of the explosion's very cheap parts raining down around him. Cheap. Too cheap. Too Cheap! Zac felt the lightbulb click in his head. "Oh, my god. Maybe we used the wrong equipment! Let's get actual resources so we don't die!" "But how is this feasible?" asked Cay. Zac thought for a second. "We get sponsors". So they did. They funded the mission with all that money and bought all the resources needed! "Thank you, Zac, for thinking of that," Cay said. Zac was silent. He didn't want to say anything.
