Dear readers,
Welcome to our eBook on water, created through STEM activities by students involved in an eTwinning project. Working together, they explored the importance and properties of water while developing creativity, teamwork and scientific thinking.
We hope these pages inspire you to discover, learn, and appreciate this essential resource.

Nechifor Violeta Scoala Gimnaziala George Tutoveanu Barlad Romania Once upon a time, in a small town, there lived a little water drop named Blue.
Blue was worried. “People are using too much water,” he said. “What can we do?”
One day, Blue had a great idea! “We can all help save water!”
Here are some ways we can do it:
- Turn off the tap while brushing our teeth
- Take shorter showers
- Fix leaking taps
- Use a bucket instead of a hose
- Water plants in the morning or evening
If we all work together,” said Blue, “we can protect water and help our planet!”
And so, the adventure begins...

"I am Damla. I have been in cycles on this planet for billions of years. I rise in the veins of plants, quench a child's thirst, and beat in the heart of the ecosystem. If I weren't here, colors would fade; life would stop. I am the invisible bond that connects the world.
"But lately, my journey has become more difficult. People thought I was limitless. I was poisoned by factory waste, suffocated by plastics. Worst of all, because of climate change, sometimes I can't even visit the lands where I belong. My lakes have dried up, my rivers have fallen silent. The world is silent, do you hear?"
"But hope still flows. Those who know the value of a drop of water have joined hands. Now, instead of polluting me, they purify me. Instead of wild irrigation in the fields, they whisper each drop to the root of the plant. They collect the rain, bringing gray waters back to life."
"The future is hidden in the flowing water. Every conscious step you take can extend my journey by thousands of years. Remember; "Conserving water is conserving life."
Less than 1% of the water on Earth is accessible fresh water.
One person can save 12 tons of water a year by turning off the tap while brushing their teeth.
"What did you do today for a drop?"

Lia and the Water Drop
Lia is a cheerful girl. She loves nature and animals. One day, Lia meets a water drop named Pici. Pici is sad. Lia asks her: "Why are you sad?" Pici answers: "People waste water and make it dirty. There is less and less water left." Lia thinks about it and wants to help.
From then on, Lia turns off the tap when she is not using water. She does not throw trash in nature. Lia also teaches her classmates to save water. The children listen to her and do the same.
Slowly, Pici becomes happy again. The rivers are clean, and the plants grow beautifully. The animals have clean water. Lia smiles and says: "Water is a treasure." If we take care of water, the Earth will be clean and healthy. Together we can protect the planet!

In the quiet of recess, under the gentle noon sun, Ioana leaned over a rose bush in the schoolyard. There, trembling on a velvety petal, lies a single drop of water, shining like a diamond forgotten by the morning rain.
A voice like a whisper
”Hello, Ioana," the drop seemed to whisper, reflecting the girl's curious face.
Ioana blinked in surprise. "Are you talking?"
”My name is Aqua. I come from far away, from a cloud that traveled over the mountains, but my story is coming to an end. In a few minutes, the sun will call me back to it. Aqua told Ioana about her long journey: how she had nourished the roots of the old oak tree by the gate, how she had quenched the thirst of a bee, and how, now, she rests on that flower to maintain its freshness.

How We Save the Little Water Drop
One sunny morning, Ana and Matei heard a strange sound coming from the bathroom:
“Drip… drip… drip…”
The tap had not been turned off properly, and water was falling into the sink without stopping. Beside it stood a tiny blue water drop with sad eyes.
“Why are you upset?” Ana asked.

“Because water is being wasted,” the little drop replied. “I am very important to people, animals, and plants. Without water, no one can live.”
Matei quickly turned off the tap. The little water drop smiled.
“You have done a good thing!” she told them. “But water must be protected every day.”
The two children decided to help her. When they brushed their teeth, they turned off the tap and used a cup of water. This way, they did not let the water run
unnecessarily.
Later, they went into the garden. The flowers were thirsty, but Ana and Matei did not use too much water. They watered each plant only as much as it needed.
“Well done!” said the little drop. “Saving water does not mean that we should not use it. It means that we should use it carefully.”
That afternoon, the children went with their parents to the bank of a river. There, they saw bottles, pieces of paper, and plastic bags thrown on the ground.
“Water must not only be saved, but also kept clean,” Matei said.
The children and the adults collected the rubbish and placed it in the correct recycling bins. The river became clean again, and the fish could swim safely.
The little water drop began to shine with happiness.
“Thank you!” she said. “Now you understand that every drop counts. You can protect water by turning off the tap, using only the amount you need, and keeping rivers,
lakes, and seas clean.”
Ana and Matei promised to tell their classmates what they had learned. The next day, at school, they created a poster together and wrote:
“Save water, protect nature, and secure the future of our planet!”
From that day on, the children were more careful every time they used water. The little blue water drop was never sad again because she knew that she now had many friends who would protect her.

The Brave Water Drop
Once upon a time, there was a water drop named Aqua. She lived in a clear river and was happy to help plants, animals, and people.
One day, Aqua noticed that the river was no longer as clean as before. Bottles, plastic bags, and other waste had appeared along the banks. The fish were sad, and the plants were beginning to dry out. In addition, it had rained very little, and the water level in the river was getting lower every day.
Aqua realized that something had to be done. She called the children from the village and told them about the river's problem. Together, they collected the litter, planted trees, and learned not to waste water when brushing their teeth or washing their hands.
After a few weeks, the river became clean again. The fish swam happily, the plants were green, and the animals had enough water.
Aqua was very happy. She understood that when people protect nature and save water, the whole planet benefits. From that day on, the village remained a clean and lively place, and the river continued to sparkle under the sun.
The Brave Little Water Drop
Once upon a time, there was a tiny water drop named Pic. She lived peacefully in a clear lake with thousands of other water drops. Every day, she looked up at the sky and wondered:
"Am I important? I'm only such a small drop..."
The other drops would reply:
"Be happy here! There's no reason to leave."
But Pic was curious and brave. One warm morning, the gentle rays of the sun began to warm the lake. Pic felt herself becoming lighter and lighter.
"I think it's time for an adventure!" she said.
In an instant, she turned into invisible water vapor and rose into the sky. This was the first step of her journey: evaporation.
High above the Earth, Pic met millions of other water drops. Together they formed a big, white, fluffy cloud.
"Welcome!" said her new friends. "Now condensation is taking place. Together, we become a cloud."
The cloud traveled over forests, fields, mountains, and cities. Pic gazed down in amazement at the world below.
One day, the cloud became heavy. The wind grew still, and the sky turned gray.
"It's time!" the drops called.
Pic began to fall to the ground as rain. This was the stage called precipitation.
She landed gently on a green leaf in a forest. The leaf was thirsty.
"Thank you!" the leaf whispered. "Without you, I couldn't nourish the tree."
Pic smiled. For the first time, she felt that she was truly making a difference.
Soon, she seeped into the soil, where the roots of a mighty oak tree absorbed her. She traveled
