My names Ava, and I’m a Princess

I have golden hair and a sparkling dress

My Dad’s a King, and Mum’s a Queen

I love to dance, and sing, and scream!

My hair is tight and curly, I really love it lots

But Mum says, “It must be cut, as it’s just so 

full of knots”

I’m really quite unsure…. My beautiful Princess 

hair

I want to keep it on my head! It really is unfair

I love my curly locks; it’s not just hair you 

know

It’s where I keep my things, secured neatly 

with a bow

And Cyril my pet rat, he uses it for his nest

My hair is very precious; it really is the best!

If my hair is cut too short, then Cyril will 

lose his home

And mum will make me keep it tidy, and 

even use a comb!

It’s just the right length and as long as 

Cyril’s tail

I will not let my pet rat down; I really 

will not fail!

“Ava, come down” shouts the Queen, that’s 

my Mum

“The hairdresser is here, the time to cut has 

come!”

But I’m a Princess, and my hair is just so 

right

And when she sees what’s in there she’ll 

really get a fright!
