I fell in love with this city

Dear diary, to day I arrived to Athens. From childhood I 

dreamed to go here. I'll be here not long, but during this 

time I would like to see everything. I want to meet my 

birthday here. I think it will be great! When I arrived here I 

was surprised by the beauty of the city. 

After airport I took my luggage, called a taxi and went to the 

hotel. I very tired today and I want to sleep. When I was in 

taxi I spoke with a taxi driver. He was so friendly. We spoke 

about Athens. He told me a few places that I need to visit. 

Then I came to hotel and went on my room.

Today I got up very late. When I woke up it was already 12. I had a shower and 

went to cafe for breakfast. Athens is a big city! I almost got lost! When I walked 

into the cafe, I turned to another street and walked through it. Then I understood 

that I lost. I went to the other side and after a while I was in the same place. I was 

scared. On the street people walked past me. I asked them how to get to the cafe. 

Well that they suggested to me. After 40 minutes, I was sitting in a cafe and had a 

breakfast.

After breakfast I decided to walking through the city. I walked along   the Kolonaki. 

Then I went shopping. After shopping I went to cafe.In cafe I met with John. He is 

very intelligent and sociable person and he is from Russia. I spent the whole day in 

this area. I very tired and i want only one went to hotel and slept. 

Dear diary, to day I went to the Parthenon. I am a long time wanted to visited this 

place. Parthenon - a monument of ancient architecture, located on the Athenian 

Acropolis, the main temple in ancient Athens, dedicated to the patron of the city 

and the whole of Attica, the goddess Athena.I was surprised   by such beauty that 

I saw here. it's exciting.

After Parthenon I decided to go on Theater of Dionysus. It is a 

wonderful place I've ever seen. Theater of Dionysus - the ancient 

theater building in Athens. Located on the southeastern slope of the 

Acropolis and is among the oldest theaters in the world. The theater 

was built in the V century. BC. e. and was made of wood.

Today is my birthday and   I decided to walk to the museums of Athens. I adore 

museums. At first I went at museum of Acropolis. It was perfect. When I was 

there, as if I got at that time. It was great! After that I went to Temple of 

Olympian Zeus. I don't   know how to describe it. I have no words. I have a lot of 

fun when I go to places of history. Then I went to   National Archaeological 

Museum of Athens. It is the largest museum in Greece. Its permanent exhibition 

consists of more than 20 thousand items of different eras. It was my last museum 

today. 

Temple of Olympian Zeus

When I came in the hotel I   learned that I was waiting at a 

restaurant on the ground floor. I was pleasantly surprised when I 

saw my friend John. We sat and talked for a long time. I did not 

notice how come late at night. Then we went for a walk. Athen's 

night is amazing. It was very gripping day. I was delighted and 

tired. 

It was an unforgettable day!

My day started late. Today I decided to go in Ancient Agora of 

Athens. Ancient Agora of Athens - Athens area, occupying an area 

of 5 hectares and is located to the northwest of the Acropolis. 

After that I went to temple of Hephaestus. Located on the 

northwest side of the Athenian agora - the best preserved 

ancient temple of   Athens.   Then I went to Erechtheion. 

Erechtheion - an outstanding monument of architecture, one of 

the main temples of ancient Athens, located on the north of the 

Acropolis Parthenon. And in the end of the day I decided to go in 

Plaka. I was there until the end of the day. Plaka - the oldest 

district of Athens, situated at the foot of the northern and 

eastern slopes of the Acropolis with a maze of narrow streets and 

houses. It was really good day. 

Dear diary, today I got up early and I didn't know what 

to do and I decided to go for a walk. I went to 

Monastiraki. Monastiraki - one of the central districts 

of Athens is close to Plaka and the Athenian agora. 

Monastiraki is best known for its market. The name of 

the district comes from the word "monastery". 

Then I went to National Garden. It a very big 

and green garden. I was here all day. 

Dear diary, today I decided   to dedicate my day monuments. 

At first I visited the Filopappou Hill. There was a monument 

Filopappu. It seems that it is just a stone, but the stone 

symbolizes an architectural monument. After then I went to 

monument of Lysicrates.  

Then I went to Hadrian's Arch.   It is a great 

building! 

 Dear Diary, today I decided to start the day with the 

Museum of Greek Folk Musical Instruments.   I am very 

interested in music, I studied music for 9 years.  

  After that I decided to walk around the city. 

It is very beautiful city! It is full of historical 

places. It is a pity that I'm leaving this city 

soon. 

In these days I'm very tired. And today, I decided 

to relax. I called John and suggested to meet with 

him in the National Garden. He suggested me to 

went to the island of Rhodes. We went for a long 

time. When we arrived we went to "Panorama Hotel 

Apartments". 

We immediately went to the sea. As a long time 

since I was on the sea! We were at sea before the 

end of the day. It was beautiful day. 

We stay in that island for 3 days. Yesterday we was in the 

sea but not long and today we planed to be there every day. 

We got up very late, we decided to went to acropolis of 

Rhodes and then went to the sea.
