    I want to know what's beyond us 

    I am a wandering spirit

    I pretend that there's got to be something after

    I feel scared because we're so small and insignificant

    I worry, wondering if there's actually a point

    I cry trying to find impossible answers to life's questions

    I am human

    I understand so little of what actually happens around me

    I say, why not wonder what's beyond us

    I dream about what else there is to know and see

    I try to imagine that I'll live forever in some way or another

    I hope that there's something after or a good reason to reach the finish line

Silas

Goofy, funny, interesting, tired

Lover of almost all food, football, and videogames

Who feels exhausted, calm, and humorous

Who needs sleep, cereal, and coffee to survive sometimes

Who gives input care and comfort to whoever needs it

Who fears heights, speeches, and scariest of all women

Titanic

At two twenty in the morning 

It was exactly two twenty in the morning

They watched as it slowly submerged

Not enough lifeboats were prepared

At two twenty in the morning

They watched as fifteen hundred disappeared

At two twenty in the morning

An Iceberg claimed over a thousand

At two twenty in the morning

The metal beast drowning

Taken down by a white giant

At two twenty in the morning

You could hear the beast screeching and screaming

So many staying with the wallowing beast

The majority of them are men and elderly

Left with this lonesome beast sinking in sorrow

The reason I referred to the Titanic as a beast is that it was supposed to be unsinkable and a force to be reckoned with, which is exactly how you would describe a beast, in my opinion. My motive for choosing the Titanic tragedy is that I have always found it interesting, and it's also one of my favorite movies, although I haven't watched it in quite a while. I also chose to add the number of people who lived and passed away during this event because it helps to show how ill-prepared they really were for this to happen, and also to really show how bad this was

Dreams: A Definition Poem

  Dream: a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal.

    Dreams are like a small light in your mind.

    They glow quietly when everything else feels dark.

    Dreams are a road leading to the future.

    They help you keep moving forward.

    Sometimes dreams whisper ideas while you sleep.

    They fill your head with bright skies and open paths.

    Dreams are a tiny spark that won’t go out. 

    They push you forward like wind pushing a kite.

    Their soft, silent strength keeps growing.

    Dreams are the reason people keep trying.

The sun beaming on, us getting hotter

The pollution making us brownwater
