It felt like one of those days when trouble was brewing and waiting for the perfect time to strike. 13-year-old Penny was sitting in the vast room of her detective agency. It was vary quit, and nobody was there. “Ug… I’m going for a brake if any-“ But Penny never got to finish her sentence, as she got up, Mya rushed in. Mya is one of Penny’s friends, she’s always losing stuff, like, her slippers, homework, and socks.
And the annoying part is, there always just on the floor and she never bothers to look for them she just rushes to Penny. Mya is a good friend. But today, Penny didn’t care how annoying it was, she just wanted to do something other than sitting in a room all day.
“Mya! What is it?” Penny asked in and excited voice.
“My dog, Scootalo! He’s gone missing!”
Now, this was a mystery.
“Detective Penny is on the job!” Penny said. “Lucy! I need you!” Lucy is Penny’s assistant. And I’ll tell you, Lucy is always happy, and she LOVES animals, and she never, ever, stops smiling.
“What is it?” Lucy asked running out of a doorway on the left side of the room with a big smile on her face, like I told you, she’s always smiling. “Scootalo’s gone missing!” Mya said to Lucy.
“Mya, take us to your house!” Lucy said, Pointing towards the door and marching forward.
“OK! Let’s go!” Mya said running towards the door.
There, the three of them stood, in front of Mya’s house, Mya was the first to talk.
“Oh, guys, did I tell you that I also hear strange noises coming from my attic?” Mya asked them.
“No, I don’t think you told us.” Lucy said scrunching up her face in thought.
“OK, so, you hear strange noises coming from the attic, and Scootalo has gone missing.” Penny mumbled, jotting things down on a notepad she brought with her.
“Well, let’s go in!” Lucy said, walking to the door and opening it.
Penny and Mya walked in with her and right after all of them walked in, a weird ghost-like noise echoed through the house.
“S-see?? I t-told y-you.” Mya stammered.
“Hmm… You where right!” Lucy said smiling bigger than ever.
“Mya, do you know where he was the last time you saw him?” Penny asked.
“N-Yes! I do! He was playing outside with a butterfly!” Mya said, smiling. They where one step closer to finding Scootalo!
“Guys! I know! Let’s check the attic!” Lucy said skipping towards the attic.
“Wait for us!” Mya said, grabbing Penny’s hand and running after Lucy.
