This book is detected for everyone who kept a light alive through the storm - may you always remember that even in the rain, the lantern still burns.

The rain began just after sunset.
Mila pressed her forehead against the bus window and watched the drops race each other down the glass. The road twisted through the forest like a dark ribbon, and every few minutes lightning flashed between the trees.
“Last stop,” the driver called.
Mila stepped off the bus with her backpack and a single suitcase. Ahead stood her grand mother’s old cottage, small and crooked beneath the storm.
But something strange glowed in the woods behind it.
A lantern.
And someone was carrying it.

Mila hurried inside the cottage and locked the door.
The house smelled like cinnamon and old books. A fire crackled softly in the fireplace even though nobody should have been there.
“Grandma ?” Mila called.
No answer.
Then she noticed a note on the table.
If you see the lantern, follow it before midnight .
Mila read the sentence three times.
Outside, the glowing light a rifted slowly between the trees.
Thunder shook the window.
Mila grabbed her raincoat and stepped back into the storm.

The lantern moved deeper into the forest, always just far enough ahead.
Branches scratched Mila sleeves as she followed the flickering gold light. Soon she reached a clearing she had never seen before.
In the middle stood a stone well covered in ivy.
The lantern rested beside it.
But nobody was there.
Mila approached carefully. Carved into the stone were words nearly hidden by moss:
For the one who remebers.
Suddenly, the lantern flame turned blue.
The ground beneath the well tremble.

The stones slid apart with a deep rumble, revealing a staircase leading underground.
Mila swallowed hard and climbed down.
Below the earth was hidden library filled with glowing jars, floating candles, and shelves taller than trees. Rain water dripped faintly from the ceiling like music.
At the center sat her grandmother.
She looked up from a giant book and smiled.
“I was wondering when you’d find it,” she said.
Mila started.”Find what?”
Her grandmother closed the book gently.
‘The family magic”.
