6CO2 + 6H2O --------------> C6H12O6 + 6O2
sunlight energy

Once upon a time...
a young plant named Billy wondered how he
got his food. So he asked his favorite uncle,
Bobby, "How do we get food Uncle Bobby?"
His uncle said, "Well you see Billy, us plants
use a process called photosynthesis to
capture energy from sunlight to make
sugars!" Billy was still confused so his uncle
decided to take him on an adventure inside a
magical land called green world!

When Uncle Billy and Bobby arrived at green
world, there were big displays of the light and dark
reactions everywhere! "Uncle Bobby!! I know how the
light reaction looks, but what does it do?" Uncle
Bobby told Billy that the light reactions capture
energy from sunlight, and so water is broken down
while air is released. "But uncle, what about the dark
reactions? How does that work? Uncle Bobby told
Billy that the dark reactions use energy from the light
reactions to make sugars. "Ohhhh, I kinda get it now."
Billy said.

Light Dependent Reactions:
During this reaction, energy is absorbed
from sunlight and is transferred to the
Calvin Cycle. Oxygen and ATP are made.

Uncle Bobby was tired of teaching, but since Bobby
was so eager to learn, Uncle Bobby decided to
teach Bobby about cellular respiration. The
following day after visiting green world, Uncle
Bobby took his nephew to fry town so they could
continue their learning adventure. When they got
to fry town, Billy learned that cellular respiration
releases chemical energy from sugars and other
molecules to make ATP.

In fry town, Billy learned that glycolysis, a part
of cellular respiration had ten long steps. Uncle
Bobby even told him that glycolysis doesn't require
oxygen, and it splits glucose into two three-carbon
molecules, to make two molecules of ATP. He even
told Bobby that the products of glycolysis is
broken down to make more ATP!
