Dedicated to our families and friends

Hi my name is Parker. I love video games. One time when I was playing BuildBlocks I got sucked into the video game and I wrote it all down in my journal.
Now where do I begin? Oh yeah. Once, when I was playing BuildBlocks, I got sucked into the video game. Which I just told you.
I didn't know what was happening. I tried jumping and I floated, at once I knew I was in Creativity Mode. I was able to get into my inventory and got the blocks I needed to build my house.

The first material I got was my bed to sleep. Then I got my weapons to fight mobs.
I started building my house.
When I finished I built myself a beautiful garden.
I thought to myself, how will I be able to go back home?
Then I thought to myself, maybe if I beat the Powerful Dragon a portal will open and I'll be able to get back home.
But what I didn’t know was that everything would take a lot longer than I thought.
I got an Eye of Power and went to the stronghold. Then I went to the Power Portal, jumped in, and got to the Power Region.

Then I grabbed a bow and shot all of the power crystals. Once they were destroyed I started shooting at the Powerful Dragon, but my first arrow missed!
I was surprised it missed.
I shot another arrow and it hit the Powerful Dragon!
I kept hitting the Powerful Dragon with arrows until it was low on health.

“Parker!” interrupts my mom. “Wanna have a playdate?”
I stop reading and I answer,
“Okay Mom, but who would I have a playdate with?”
“How about Tom?” my mom answers.
“Sure Mom,” I reply.
“I'll reach out to Tom's mom,” yells my mom.
I keep reading.
Now where was I. Oh yeah, I grabbed an axe, jumped, and killed the Powerful Dragon!

Ding-dong!
I stop reading.
“Mom!” I shout. “Is Tom here?”
“Yes! Come upstairs!” my mom answers.
I put down my journal.
I’m excited to have a playdate with Tom but I also want to keep remembering my crazy adventure.
I have never told Tom about my adventure before, but I’m going to today.

I race upstairs.
Tom stands by the door.
“Hi Parker,” he greets.
“Hi Tom,” I greet back. “Wanna come to the living room? I have something to show you.”
“Okay,” Tom answers.
We both walk to the living room.

“This is my journal.” I introduce. “I’ve written all kinds of things in it.”
“Can I read it?” Tom asks.
“I want to show you a specific part,” I reply.
Tom looks confused.
“Okay,” he says.
I turn to the tenth page.
“Start here,” I instruct. “And just know that I’m telling the truth.”

“Okay.” Tom says, puzzled. Tom likes to say okay!
Tom starts to read the journal. His eyebrows go way up. “You’re sure this is the truth?” he asks me.
I nod. “Yes.”
“Okay,” Tom answers, AGAIN!
“How!” Tom asks.
“How what?” I ask.

Tom wonders, “How did you get sucked into BuildBlocks!?”
“I don’t know,” I reply, truthfully.
“Okay,” SAYS TOM!!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!! BECAUSE IT’S HIS FAVORITE WORD! IN FACT, HIS NAME SHOULD BE “OKAY” INSTEAD OF “TOM”!
“What was the first word you learned as a baby?” I ask Tom, giggling.
“Okay,” Tom says.
“I KNEW IT!” I exclaim. “Why is Okay your favorite word?”

“Just OKAY.” Tom answers.
“So you don’t know?” I reply.
“Yep,” Tom answers.
“Okay!” I tease him.
“You stole my favorite word!” says Tom.
“I was teasing you,” I reply.
“Okay.” Tom says. BECAUSE TOM’S FAVORITE WORD IS OKAY! HE SAYS OKAY WHENEVER HE UNDERSTANDS WHAT SOMEBODY SAYS TO HIM!

“Kids! Do you want a snack?” my mom calls downstairs.
“OKAY!” Tom and I shout back.
In the kitchen, me and Tom eat strawberries with melted chocolate, my favorite snack.
“Do you believe that I got sucked into BuildBlocks?” I whisper.
“Yes,” Tom whispers back.
“Okay!” I say.
“Don’t make fun of my favorite word!” yells Tom furiously.

We run back into the living room and Tom continues reading about me getting sucked into BuildBlocks. “Powerful Dragon, Eye of Power, garden, and crystals that you have to break so you can defeat the Powerful Dragon!?” Tom says, shocked. “Were you scared?” he asks me.
“Yes,” I say seriously. “I wasn’t very scared when I was in Creativity Mode because I knew I couldn’t die. But when I was in Surviving Mode I was very scared."

“You must be brave then,” Tom says.
“Yeah, I am,” I reply.
“I did die a couple of times when I was in Surviving Mode.” I admit.
“You even had a challenge and a quest!?”
“Yes,” I answer.
“Okay.” Tom says, AGAIN!
“This kind of makes me want to play BuildBlocks,” Tom adds.
“I would play BuildBlocks,” I reply.

“Do you have two controllers?” Tom asks.
“We have three because my mom and dad like to play video games too,” I say.
“I hope I don’t get sucked into BuildBlocks,” Tom says wearily.
“I hope so too,” I answer. “Let’s play.”
I turn on the controller, but the second I get into BuildBlocks a strange swirl goes around the TV and swallows up me and Tom!
“AHHHH!” Tom yells.
“NOT AGAIN!” I shout.
Then we are on the field in BuildBlocks.
