Chapter 1: The Jackson 5 Era:
Micheal Jackon was a famous pop singer. He was known for writing catchy songs and for having exotic pets. Even as a kid, Michael loved animals, like his pet mice and a rat named Ben! Micheal grew up in a large family in Gary, Indiana. Micheal started lead singing only when he was 8 years old! His band was called the Jackson 5. Through all the pressure and hard work, they had MASSIVE hits, like ABC and I Want You Back.
They wore bright, colorful 1970s outfits and had giant afro hairstyles. But becoming famous wasn't easy. Michael and his brothers had to practice dancing and singing in their living room every single day after school. Their father, Joseph Jackson, was an incredibly strict manager. He would punish them severely or whip them if they made mistakes or complained.

Chapter 2: Stepping Out on His Own (Expanded!)As Michael grew older, he wanted to sing solo without his brothers. He released a music album called "Off the Wall" in 1979 that showed everyone he was an amazing grown-up music artist. He loved combining different types of music like rock, pop, and disco. He even wrote massive hits himself, like Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, which won him his very first Grammy Award!
People started noticing that he was an amazing dancer, not just a singer. During a tough dance rehearsal in 1979, Michael accidentally fell and broke his nose, which required surgery to fix. He also started creating his signature style during this time, wearing a sharp black
tuxedo with white socks and shiny black loafers so everyone in the audience could clearly see his feet move when he danced!

Chapter 3: The Thriller Era and the Moonwalk
In 1982, Michael released Thriller, which became the biggest album in the entire world, and he showed everyone a dance move they would never forget. Thriller became (and still is!) the best-selling album of all time. It had huge hits like Beat It, Billie Jean, and Thriller. The music video for Thriller was like a spooky horror movie where he danced with zombies in a red leather jacket!
In 1983, during a TV special, he performed Billie Jean and did the Moonwalk for the very first time. He glided backward so smoothly it looked like magic! But being a superstar could be dangerous. In 1984, while filming aPepsi commercial, a firework went off too early and accidentally set Michael's hair on fire!
He suffered serious burns on his scalp, but he bravely kept performing for his fans.

He lived in a magical mansion called Neverland Ranch, which had its own amusement park and a private zoo filled with elephants, tigers, and his famous pet chimpanzee named Bubbles. He kept surprising the world with new moves, like in the song Smooth Criminal, where he used secret shoes to lean forward at a gravity-defying angle without falling over! Because of his incredible tours, music videos, and dancing, people all over earth officially crowned him the "King of Pop."
