Lauren Ridloff did!

Lauren is Deaf, but she never let that stop her from reaching her goals. She has become a teacher, an actress, and a role model for people all over the world.

Lauren was born on April 6, 1978, in Chicago, Illinois.

She grew up using American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate. Like many children, Lauren loved learning and spending time with her family. Her parents encouraged her to believe in herself and work hard.

Before Lauren became famous, she was a teacher.

She enjoyed helping children learn and grow. Even though she loved teaching, she never imagined she would one day become a movie star.

Everything changed when Lauren was chosen to perform in the Broadway play Children of a Lesser God.

People loved her performance because she showed that Deaf actors could shine on the biggest stages.

Soon after, Lauren joined the TV show The Walking Dead.

She played a character named Connie, who quickly became one of the show's favorite characters. Connie was brave, smart, and showed everyone that Deaf people can do amazing things.
