They quickly became wonderful friends and always looked forward to spending recess together. Sharing laughs, stories, and playing games in the playground at school made every single school day even brighter.

During lunch, they talked about all the things they enjoyed playing. They discovered that they both loved playing with figures! As they shared their favorite games, Maya suddenly had a brilliant and exciting idea.

Saturday came, and Lily was more than ready for her playdate! She was so happy to see Maya on a Saturday, and knowing they were finally going to play together made her heart beam with pure joy.

Maya and Lily had such a wonderful time together. What felt like playing for just five minutes quickly turned into two full hours! After enjoying the sunset and eating delicious ice cream, Maya's mom reminded them that it was time to head home.

Maya was sad that the playdate ended so soon, yet glad she got to spend such wonderful time with Lily. On the way to Lily's home, however, Maya noticed that Lily didn't live in a house like she did, Lily lived in a RV. She realized Lily didn't have a traditional driveway or car parked outside either, learning for the first time that Lily lived with just her loving single dad. As all these new thoughts settled in, a whole wave of different emotions rushed over Maya.
