Summer had just started, and Mia was staying with her grandparents. Their house sat beside a forest filled with tall trees and beautiful views. Mia loved exploring outside with her friend Megan. Before she can go outside, Grandpa reminds her that she needs to clean her room. She moved a box and noticed something inside of it. 

Mia reached inside the box and pulled out a rolled-up piece of paper. She carefully untied the string and opened it. It was a map of the forest. Mia spotted a stream, a wooden bridge, a meadow, and a huge tree. Then she noticed something strange. There was no starting point.

Mia traced the paths with her finger. She searched for an arrow. She turned the map around. Still, she could not find a place to begin. "Where does this map start?" Mia wondered.

Mia carried the map to the living room. "Grandpa, do you recognize this map?" she asked. Grandpa leaned closer and studied the map. "I have not seen that map in a long time," he said. "Where does it start?" Mia asked. Grandpa thought for a moment. "Maybe that is for you to discover."

Mia ran next door to find Megan. They had been neighbors for as long as she could remember. "Look what I found!" Mia said. Megan looked at the map. "Where does it lead?" she asked. "I am not sure," Mia said. "It does not have a beginning." Megan smiled. "Then let's find one."

Mia and Megan followed the trail behind the house. Soon, they reached two paths. Mia studied the map. "Which one should we take?" she asked. Megan looked at both paths. "The map doesn't say." Mia frowned. "What if we choose the wrong one?"

Mia took a deep breath. "Let's try going down this path," she said. They followed the left path. They had found the stream from the map. "We found it!" Megan said. Mia looked around. Maybe they had not made the wrong choice after all. 

The stream led them to a small wooden bridge. On the other side were two more paths. Mia checked the map. "It still does not tell us which way to go," she said. Megan looked at her. "Maybe we get to choose." Mia looked at both paths. Then she pointed to one. "Let's go this way."
